Realistically yeah, and if not that, I'd 100% expect that you'd have to buy the disc drive at least.they might do it but don't expect this stuff to not be locked behind some premium tier monthly fee

With some type of PSSR AI upscaling I think there'd be a lot of interest in PS1-3 games, outside of the retro gaming sphere. The patent hinted at SD to HD conversion via AI upscaling.it'll be bc with ps4-ps5 in any case, contrary to what people like to believe, nobody cares about playing < ps3 games in 2030
I don't know if you were old enough in 1990 and rich enough then to buy one of these. Your are certainly it's target audience. A pity there is never enough of you to support the hardware.Zero fucks about back comp.
Give me 1.000 dollars ps6 with all the bells and whistles that will carry it through the ps7 gen and Im in.
The Pro is currently $700 without a drive or a cheap ass standSony has never priced a PlayStation above $600
I'm talking about a base consoleThe Pro is currently $700 without a drive or a cheap ass stand
To be fair, 1000 dollars doesn't go very far for a PC these days. I am struggling to decide if my next upgrade would stay a laptop or go for a tower. The ability to move the laptop when i need to free up the guest room is beneficial, but it probably ADDS 1000 dollars to the hardware cost for the same power for a tower. In those price regions going for a console instead of a PC would be kinda.....

By the time the PS6 comes out you're not going to get a "decent" PC for $1000.With $1,000 why wouldn't just buy a decent pc and play nearly every game ever created?
Unfortunately no... my parents couldn't afford even the PS1, fortunately now I can afford pretty much whatever I wish.I don't know if you were old enough in 1990 and rich enough then to buy one of these. the latter would be way better than dealing with a stupid sub.Realistically yeah, and if not that, I'd 100% expect that you'd have to buy the disc drive at least.
you're still playing old games..?No interest in BC.
Give me a remake/remaster anytime over playing old games.
Improved old games is better than same old games.you're still playing old games..?
But it wouldn't entirely be the same old games with PSSR upscaling. They'd be improved.Improved old games is better than same old games.
Too many new games to play, old games aren't worth the time unless they undergo huge improvements/include new features. But it wouldn't entirely be the same old games with PSSR upscaling. They'd be improved.
Tbf that's not entirely true. There are a lot of older PC games that have trouble, or don't run at all, on modern PCs.Nop, only Nintendo fans pays overpriced price for old tech, also true BC is only on PC
Totally fair.Too many new games to play, old games aren't worth the time unless they undergo huge improvements/include new features.
$1000 for a complete unit or $2000+ for one component. Hmmmm....In those price regions going for a console instead of a PC would be kinda.....

who says they couldn't be?Yes, tech gets better. Yes, inflation exists. But mass-market consoles are not luxury items
