There is something oddly unrealistic about that fluidity of motion to me. I think it's because in real life, you can't smoothly sweep your field of vision, you stagger your vision by focusing on many specific points, and 30fps is a more staggering/juddery aesthetic. However, in no way would I consider it to feel better.
Comparing AC to the Hobbit.
Riiight
That's sweet, but no.Is all of the cursing really justified? I would imagine it's against Neogaf rules, no?
Never been more appropriate.Ubi straight up needs new PR people.

I'm awaiting the "900P is superior to 1080P" statement.

Just tried it, actually looks really freaky, very cool. Kind of like the rubber pencil thing. If you focus on your finger and move your hand side to side, you can have a pretty smooth pan, although out of focus.

That's sweet, but no.
The feel of 1080p without those pesky extra visual calories.
I'd be interested to know if developers can actually set the consoles to 24Hz output, or if they'd need to have pulldown. RaD said they tried 24fps, I wonder how far they took that.If they really want a "cinematic" framerate they should make it 24 fps.
Yes, they did.Forgive me if I am wrong, buy didn't The Order 1866 people say the same thing?
I guess the PR handlers are on vacation this week.
Better graphics at 30 FPS > Lesser graphics at 60 FPS
Snake moves realistically though.

Fuck. off. There isnt a game that exists that doesn't look better at 60FPS.
Okay, this got a laugh out of meEnjoy your filthy soap operas PC gamers, here in the Console Club we'll be having cigars and brandy and enjoying the refined art of playing videogames just like we enjoyed Rossellini and Tarkovsky and Godard before them.
That's called having your cake and eating it too, friend.
These gifs are more cinematic than 60FPS.Snake moves realistically though.

Yup, just like how our eyes can't process more than 25fps...
So because it is hard to achieve, you guys are going to give up since you guys lack talents?
Can't wait to see how awesome your brand new/ground up engine is!
I was talking about the large number of frames used in Arno to make him move realistically and not make any of his animations jarring."Snake has nothing on Arno" just because he doesn't run and climbs around like a freakin freerunner?
Yes, he does and is definitely better than a lot of games.Snake moves realistically though.
so why bother justifying it in the first place? all they are achieving is pissing off the (as you rightly said) 'few that... are still going to buy it anyway'. i don't get what could possibly be motivating them other than "buzz" (ie all news is good news).
Technically speaking, so does Arno, all of his parkour movements are made with motion capture.Snake moves realistically though.

The same interview the 60fps quote comes from says, "it's not the number of pixels but the quality of the pixels"I'm awaiting the "900P is superior to 1080P" statement.
In RAD's case they also said that 30fps allowed them to add a lot of effects and push visuals, so they were at least honest.Forgive me if I am wrong, buy didn't The Order 1866 people say the same thing?
