it must be fun to play too. and for now its fun and one of best AC games out there. outsold everything in UKWatching Vikings next to playing AC Valhalla really shows you how almost EVERY location in that show has been recreated in AC Valhalla lmao
They really tried to get that Vikings vibe but failed at execution. The game is nice and looks stunning but Ubisoft, this isnt Vikings

The fire doesn’t look great and it drags my frame rate down.I just got to the first story raid you do and holy shit the fire looks like total ass, especially compared to how great everything else around it looks.
so we visiting london / lunden here right ? i mean thats amazing, i mean we saw kinda old london in previous AC game then future london in Legion and now very old one... im amazed about that we can just visit that in games.
But there is problem when you overexplore everything clearing castles alone where later your main mission going to be and like hey i was there. So now i kinda not explore everything at least trying to not go into places where lots soldiers as later i might have there main mission . Power 132 now i can go for 160 power beast.
Wait quests can be broken?dont bother exploring the area until u did the main quest. u can actually fuck up quests otherwise and lots of chests are locked behind doors that only open with the main quest.
also jorvik is so far my favorite looking city so far, still got another to go it seems like maybe even more who knows
Wait quests can be broken?
...Wow. Ubisoft needs to patch that ASAP.Yes i fucked up 2 quests because of doing things before i was supposed to do them and objects got placed on other objects as they spawned after the main quest which basically perm locks the object in place and the quest is not completable.
Another one is in a endless broken cutscene loop because a object is missing that i wrecked before the quest was available because i didn't do the main quest in that area.
What i do now is whenever i push myself to a new area. is get the teleport towers first in order to make movement easier, then do the main quest in that region and then do the everything else after that to avoid problems. Also content is locked behind doors that u cant open without doing the main quest in that area. the biggest offender where all of this count is lunden that i encountered so far be careful with that place do the main quest before anything else.
That thing seems bugged for that game, contact Ubi support.Help please
Just got my PS5 and installed Assassins Creed Valhalla (PS4 disc)
But when I go to the game hun to “upgrade” to the ps5 version it’s asking me to pay for the game!!
Is this a glitch and anyway to fix it???
Edit - I’ve got the PS4 disc in ps5 and nothing on game hub other than buy.
the free upgrade is on disc version as well I presume??
Yes they locked for good reason. Dont overexplore areas.Started playing this.
Cons:
- Exploration and finding loot is more annoying as some buildings are locked with no way to access them (until perhaps the right quest opens them
So should I just proceed with the main story for now? Will I know when it's safe to explore fully?Yes they locked for good reason. Dont overexplore areas.
Well i do that too explore everything around and didint had any problems later with quests there. But i guess its not as fun later when your main mission goes into castle that you looted allready alone. I still do it.So should I just proceed with the main story for now? Will I know when it's safe to explore fully?
No but when resuming from quick resume a few times, all my saves were corrupt. Deleted them all and made a new save and it was showing as corrupt, nothing would load. (Auto saves eg...) So took the plunge and exit the game (to the dash) and loaded it back up and to my surprise the corrupt saves were now showing as fineJust went to play it and for some reason quick resume wasn't working. I went to load game and no autosaves had worked since launch day. Luckily I had only spent 4 or 5 hours playing it since then. But has this happened to anyone else?
As someone who has beaten every AC but Origins and Odyssey, is it worth beating those two to come back and play this? I was pretty burned out by Unity/Syndicate so I couldn't bring myself to finish Origins/Odyssey.
Nah, you'll get burnt out on the series halfway through Odyssey
the scenery and amount of content was spectacular though
Its Britain though. It would be more unrealistic if it did have big blue seas and sunny skies.I do miss those big blue seas and sunny skies of Odyssey. Valhalla's environment is just kinda drab and dark a lot of the time.
Yeah. Probably the best choice. Without vrr though, def. should get the PS5 version. So since the screen I will play this game on supports VRR, am I right for thinking I should get this game on XSX instead of PS5?

yes
The quest with Randvi was nice. Almost as good as something from Witcher. This is the best AC in many years.
Although I will have to reload and postpone that quest until much later, apparently. She is married to Sigurd so I told her we can't be together, but now I read up that she actually leaves him later in the story. And btw this little quest is one of five choices that influence ending.
Hah. Nah Sigurd is a bro, at least for now.Mate, you're a viking raiding. You get an offer like that you gotta hit it and hard. And repeatedly. And then replay the mission and do it all again
i took her all the way and later everytime as well. love is love. that hunter girl too.The quest with Randvi was nice. Almost as good as something from Witcher. This is the best AC in many years.
