I am trying to find a download/install for activeX.... and I'll be damned if I can figure out what I'm supposed to be downloading and installing. Anyone lend a hand ?

uuhhh, ActiveX is a method for downloading / running "applet"-type things either embedded into an IE browser or as stand-alone programs that run in another frame. You can't "download" activeX - you probably just have to enable it. In IE, go to:

tools -> internet options -> security
click "custom level"

Then you can either set the settings for activeX controls to "enabled", "disabled", or "prompt." I personally always use "prompt," but you can set it to whatever you like.

Yes, I've already done that. What I'm asking is, is there a way to install the Active X controllers again, or whatever (i'm not too familiar) manually?

ActiveX is a Microsoft COM/DCOM technology like .Net. You can't 'delete' it, though you can turn it off in browsers and such.
