I liked her so much in Twin Peaks, now she would haunt my nightmares.

James Hurley: When did you start smoking?
Donna Hayward: I smoke every once and a while. Helps relieve tension.
James Hurley: When did you get so tense?
Donna Hayward: When I started smoking.

at last, for christ's sake
That's the courtney surgery everyone us talking about? She looks the same but older, and she is older. I though she destroyed her face...

yeah, Cox definitely is one of the best cases. Renee Zellweger on the other hand, is not

For good surgery I nominate Beyonce. You don't notice it until you find an older pic of her.

This thread is always super scary because I want to have a nose job done, mine needs a /tiny/ adjustment but there's always the risk of becoming Michael Jackson.

I think Rihanna's is also well done.

Sometimes it can work:

Highly doubt she'd even be famous if she'd stayed the same. Not championing plastic surgery here (I'm against it; I think it's horrible) but my point is there are good examples out there.
I have no idea what you're talking about, she's beautiful in both pics.

Even if she has had work done, would you call her face busted?

Holy hell, hopefully with all the scary examples out there of stars with lots of money and, theoretically, access to the best doctors and procedures, people are gonna be very, very vary of doing it themselves.

Just about every short term gain seems negligible compared to some of these longterm effects. That said I've skipped to the end of the thread after 2-3 pages, so I suppose procedures have been mentioned that really do not have these kind of risks, but man would I inform myself well.

Great looking people end up looking like absolute monsters now in order to fight aging or hardly worth mentioning beauty flaws.

I'm not sure she has. Probably quite young in the first picture and grew into her face as she got older. That Kickass Hit Girl actress would be a recent example.

Does anyone feel that there has been a change in plastic surgery? Like urually you could easily tell what has been done (nose job, lips, etc.). In recent years though you have these people who look completely different (Moore, Zellweger) but I cannot tell what has been done. Like the face looks identical but my brain cannot match the person. What is going on?!

Aging is one thing, some people age more gracefully.. Most everyone here look at a 20s pic then again in their 50s and you'll look like shit too.

That said, the Hollywood culture for (mainly) women is to "not age" and while some have a few procedures done to stall it a bit, a few go overboard or hire a shitty doctor.

What I don't get is actors/actresses in their 20s and even 30s starting to go down this road, like Megan Fox... nothing at all wrong with her looks...

It's getting better. But a doctor can't fight against bad wishes from its patients.

Hold on, friend! I'd love to share with you some swell news about the Windows 8 Metro UI! Wait, where are you going?

No, he's saying the exact opposite. His first sentence was "Sometimes it can work".

That's not exactly what I ment. Like Zellweger as a prime example of what I mean:

I can tell there is a big change but I can't put my finger on it. Like all the structures and features from before are there. nose is the same, cheeks, jawline, lips etc. My best guess would be she did something to open her eyelids which completely altered her look. But I am actually more inclined to say it's just the make up and hair.

In this way you're right though surgery is getting better apparently. But also worse since it becomes so uncanny.

There's nothing wrong with a nose job. They have that surgery down pat, as long as you don't try to radically change or do it too often. The lip injections, cheek-implants, face-lifts, and botox are where things go wrong.

Renee Zellweger still looks like a beautiful woman (she must have really taken those "sour face" gibes to heart), just a completely different one.

Nose seems like it changed for the better but the majority of the difference here i think is that in one picture she has expensive Hollywood makep and hair under ideal lighting conditions and the other she does not. I don't think people realize how far good makeup goes into changing an otherwise normal looking person into a bombshell.

I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face

That and she looks like she's in her mid-teens in the first one. Some people just grow into their face Honestly the only work done that I'm seeing is possibly the nose. She was still gorgeous before.

What is Renee Zellweger doing these days anyway? I don't recall seeing her in something for a while.

Hence the plastic surgery, probably.

Growing into your face as you get older does not include the entire shape of your nose changing.

Whenever a game uses "middleware," I expect mediocrity. Just see how poor TLOU looks.

Meg Ryan!

This one made me really sad. She gave an interview a while back where she said that she knows people say she looks like a freak (paraphrasing as I can't find the article). Must be so hurtful to hear that and know you can't go back and undo the work :(

Scarlett threatened to sue when a magazine printed a nose job story about her. I'm still unsure about her cuz it really could just be contouring makeup

I feel bad for any star that's had a lot of work done. Aging isn't something that people should be so scared of.

As in, Mark Hammil looks fine. He looks like a guy in his 50s/60s would.

Straight up looks like she's had the ring of power since the second age.

LMAO

Looks like completely different person.

I can't tell what type of work she had done.

I don't get this joke.

Natalie Portman and Keira Knightly don't look similar to me at all.

My joke was like a joke within a joke. I posted it because of the joke, knowing that people would comment because of how different and (equally pretty) they are.
