Adding a cooked egg to the top of a cheeseburger (regardless of it other toppings) makes a superior cheeseburger. Change my mind.

Does adding a cooked egg to a cheeseburger automatically make it better?

  • Of course it makes it better. This is scientific fact. Why even bother with a thread?

I like an over easy egg on them. When you get to the oke it is just awesome

I often add Doritos as well.

Who the fuck puts egg on a burger? You deviants... Only thing going on top of a burger in this household is a dollop of red onion chutney with grated cheese melted over it, some lettuce and a beef tomatoe slice, that's all that's needed for the perfect burger... Also Marksies Wagu Burgers are to fucking die for, just don't stick them on the BBQ, the fat that drips off it turns your BBQ into a firepit

Australia likes to put beetroot on its burgers.

Feel free to slap the next Australian you see for this ongoing travesty.

On a side note, burger patties made from shredded beat is delish.. I prefer that veggie style over the fake meat ones.

(But the yummiest are moose burgers.. :p)

I don't think so. I think mixing mustard and ketchup atop a cheese burger (maybe with raw red onion) makes it a super one... egg is, an ethnic option... traditional australian burgers 'with everything on it' are... it's hard to say they're burgers so much as, round ground beef sandwiches

It's what your in the mood for. It adds volume, textures and taste layers. But so does a turd. At least you're experimenting and I will never discourage that my friend <3

In Brazil we call it X-egg (in Portuguese it sounds like "cheese egg")
Pretty normal around here.

Oatmeal with sunny side up + some soy sauce or hot sriacha & fresh scallion is actually pretty good.
I'm Asian as well, so I am used to having eggs on top of a lot of stuff.
(My favorite way to eat oatmeal is actually with a heaping spoonful of chunky peanut butter, mix well with pinch of salt... but for some reason I wouldn't put egg on it though.)

Egg on burger? Hmmm. It's okay I guess - depending on how good your meat is. A lot of the times when I make a burger, I stick with simple classics - that if your patty and bread is good enough, you really don't need anything fancy for that juicy meaty flavor. Whole lot of toppings, sometimes become too distracting. Not saying it doesn't taste bad, but it's all about what type of flavor that I'm craving for.

It's like if you want a glass of lemonade, but you put orange or apple juice to it. It may taste great, but in a different sense.

I enjoy an over easy or sunny side egg on a burger once and a while. But given a choice I'd rather have a double with swiss and cheddar cheese w/ Ketchup Mayo onions and pickle. Throwing an egg on that we'll just dull the contrast between the flavors in a savory soup.
