Was in the beta. Shit product just as much as using Photoshop to export your image as a webpage. Completely bloated.
The Photoshop slice tool is at least useful to generate all the images you'll need. I use it to slice everything, chose the proper formatting in Save For Web, and copy/paste the files to the image directory. I then link them to my actual template with CSS.

I say it would be much easier to learn HTML yourself and create a website as simple as the ones shown (and really to generate one in that style the HTML and CSS is very very basic).

I know it's a beta, but have people actually looked at the code and images Muze outputs? It's absolutely horrible! 50.000 div's for a really small web page, tons of JavaScript for pages that don't even need ány JavaScript, and images that can be a factor 10 smaller if you optimize them manually.

OH LOL. My boss would scream at me if I use this software.

Psh. Stop being lazy. You're diluting the job market for real designers.

I guess it's great for people who don't want to learn HTML code and don't mind having a horribly coded site.. but.. it really isn't that hard to learn HTML and CSS. If you ever have trouble all you gotta do is go to the w3schools forums, either that or someone could start a HTML GAF thread =P (if there isn't already one)

I would use this like I use dreamweaver, to prototype and build the initial design. Then I would rebuild it with CSS and clean up the code.

You can't expect real sites to use this software, since most use a CMS that breaks the design into components and metadata. Imagine trying to make a site using wordpress with muse, not going to work... At all.

We don't know why he keeps buying PAL, either.
This is fucking stupid, it's aimed at graphic designers? Graphic fucking designers shouldn't be designing websites, period.

Graphic designs know what looks good, are arty and make some wonderful looking stuff. They don't know how the internet and websites works (UI, UX, you know basic shit) and every time I get a design from a 'graphic designer' and not a 'web designer' I crack the fucking shits. Always doing thing that's a impossible on the web, just cos it 'looks good'.

Don't want to learn HTML, CSS or anything like that? Then don't try and fucking make websites.

Don't try and tell graphic designers that, they just think you 'make it HTML and stick up their work. They have no idea how long it takes to carve up a design, put in menus and heaven forbid if they want the page to scroll or the client puts in more content then the design allows.

From what I've tried in Muse so far, coding websites from scratch is actually easier. Interesting product for someone who has a lot of experience with PS I would imagine.

Erp. These days I do 2 things: design in photoshop, build in notepad. Occasionally use front page if I need to do some scripting.

They should.. or could. But they shouldn't build them.

That's the thing they don't know how it all works behind the scenes, if they learn that then they'll design websites better and know what works and what doesn't.

Yeah, that was one of the first things that jumped out at me as well. The interface is pretty good, but the sourcecode it generates is horrid. The pages it generates are at least 4 times slower to load than it's handmade counterpart, on Chrome. I'd hate to think how they perform on crappy browsers like IE.
