Toonami aired Kill la Kill. Fanservice isn't a problem.Didn't the original have a lot of fan service that americans probably wouldn't approve of nowadays? I guess they're going to hold back on that?

This is some old school stuff right here. I like it.
OH. MY. GOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDD.
This show defined my high school years and is still my favorite anime of all time. I'm even about to get a tattoo of Amarao pointing his gun at Haruko. I'm legit shedding tears.

If that synopsis is true, Thirsty-ass Naota as the new Commander Amarao is enough for me to be hyped even if the rest of that show is literal dog shit.
First I was like "HOLY SHIT" but then I realized there's noooo waaaay this can match up to the original. No one can do Gainax but Gainax themselves.
Wow.
I don't watch anime anymore, but I'll give this a shot.
Nice work, Toonami.
1st Jack now this hell yeahno fucking way
[as] doing the lord's work.
Toonami aired Kill la Kill. Fanservice isn't a problem.
Huh, didn't most episodes had their most extreme fanservice scenes toned down for the [as] airing?
In any case, FLCL didn't have over the top fanservice like KLK did, but it did have potentially controversial themes and undertones.
FLCL already aired on new Toonami like 2 years ago.
Get ready for this to just be a massive April Fools joke...
...though there is an awful lot of press about it, so probably real

@Clarknova1 What about The Pillows? Does the production intend (key word here) to bring The Pillows back for the soundtrack?

VP/Creative Director, Adult Swim On-Air. I run Toonami. Full time necromancy.
It's not the same to co-produce something new than to air something that was dubbed 15 years ago.
