My $15 Half.com copy of Advent Rising came today, and so far it's not bad. The frame rate is bad, the graphics are outdated and the controls are a little jerky (the auto targeting set up is just idiotic, couldn't this have been mapped to another button?).

Even with those complaints, its a fun $15 game.

See, problem is they wanted people to pay $50

One, thats not a shot from the final game (HUD is all wrong), two, thats a small, brief setting, most of the game is set on space ships and alien compounds and whatnot. All pretty varried, all pretty good.
