How does the first start?

The first 2 Ovas are brilliant you have to watch them they start with kenshin as a young kid and well.....bad stuff happens.

Oh this is Reflections or the movie then then no kid Kenshin seen. (I don't know a friend IMed me them, are english DVD's of them available?)

yes, but the english DVD of the OVA's and movie were released inthe USA under the title Samurai X"

The TV series release retains the name Rurouni Kenshin in the USA

Trust/Betrayal OVAs are the best of the Kenshin series, IMO. too bad the TV series went downhill after the Kyoto arc.

Remember, while chronologically its Trust and Betrayel OAV, tvseries, and Reflections OAV, watch the tv series before you watch the oavs.
