One word of warning, though: there is an inventory cap, though it's ludicrously high... but some players are reporting that when they hit it, the game is crashing for them the next time they try stripping someone. We're looking into the matter now, but if you're going for super-ultra completion status, I figured you should be forewarned about this. If you're on your fourth playthrough or greater, I'd say save often, and if you experience this issue, start fusing or selling off stuff and you should be OK. And in the meantime, we'll see what Acquire is able to figure out.

It doesn't seem to be a widespread issue, especially since the inventory cap takes a VERY long time to hit, but either way, I hope no one here is affected, and I apologize for any inconvenience if you are or have been.

-Tom
Yikes, that sounds bad. We appreciate the warning. I've been doing my best to save often, & usually try to sell my extra clothing that's really weak & won't do good for fusing. Now that I might do my Otaku playthrough soon, I'll probably be using all the stuff to level up my clothing & the one my partner has.

& alright, all routes completed now. Looks like I unlocked
Invisible Mode, which everyone walks around in their underwear
& something called
Anti-Gravity Primer, which seems to be a walk animation
at the 5day shop.

Guess I'll do ONE more playthrough to try & grab any more stuff I'm missing & get that alt. event for the final Little Sister mission before going Otaku. Must say that the game's length is rather nice for multiple playthroughs.

Out of curiosity, is there is any difference in item drops or what not between the difficulty levels?

Or is it just your regular, clothes have more durability and they hit harder things?

Well, got the Shizuku ending.
It was fun, but I dunno if I wanna go through again to get the other endings. At least not right now.
I thought I got the little sister ending too, I mean we bathed twice.

You have to complete all the little sister missions to get her ending. And the window of opportunity for each of those is pretty small, so you've gotta be really dedicated to your dear, dear little sister. ;)

How many missions are there?
I did everything that was available to me. I did 5 or 6 before the Koma fight, and I never got any new mail from her prior to the fight. And after the fight, I had no control of anything.

The last one I did did feel inconclusive.
The one where you fight her friends.
Do the answers you choose in that one determine whether or not you get the next one?

About the last mission...

Sorry to say you pretty much got the worst possible outcome. If you just fight just her friends, you pretty much get nothing except possibly their gear. You can also end up fighting Nana along side her friends (or alone), and in that case, her gear and a CG are available to unlock. The best outcome though is not fighting anyone at all, and that's how you unlock the Nana sub-ending.

How you respond to the situation between Nana and her friends is what determines the entire outcome of all the missions.

This game is highly addictive.

I jump on to play for an hour or so [to try to "savor" the experience], and before you know it multiple hours have passed. I'm really trying to take my time and do Side Quests my first time through, as well as level my stripping skills [I never thought I'd use those two words in a sentence...], so while it's technically possible to complete the game in seven hours or so, if you see what the game has to offer, I can see it easily going for double of that [first time through]. I won't start up my New Game+ immediately, since I have other games to play, but I'm definitely come back to this one. Not sure I'll try to Platinum the PS3 version, since I'm purchasing the PS4 version when it's released [I already own the Vita version], but given the addictive nature, I'll probably end up doing it anyway.

It'd be nice to transfer my character from the PS3 into the Vita/PS4 version, but at least I can view it as a way of starting over. Nothing wrong with that.

I really hope this game is successful. It's certainly a breath of fresh air and completely different than anything I've played all year. I needed this.

Thanks to whoever suggested the water pistols. They've got crap range, but are one of the easiest and most consistent weapons to use. All 3 buttons have predictable attacks with no surprises.

As a personal recommendation, too, I'm really partial to the Omega Sanctum, Rin's weapon. It's sort of the opposite of what you're describing -- all three buttons have CRAZY surprises -- but everything is all about impossible aerial flips when you're using it, and while you're spinning around in the air, you're invincible, so Omega Sanctum not only looks cool and feels satisfying to use, it's also great for avoiding attacks.

First set of DLC is up & free!

For PS3: Genshiken Set & Falcom Mascot Set
For Vita: Genshiken Set & Falcom Mascot Set

Genshiken Set includes Susanna Hopkins as a female model, Sue's Dress (Upper), & Sue's Dress (Lower), while Falcom Mascot Set includes Mishy Gloves weapon, Mishy T-Shirt, & Mishy Sun Visor. All items are available at the 5Day shop in Electric Town Plaza for 5,000 yen each (aside from the character model).

Man, I just got the game in the mail last night and started it. So far I think I've seen more loading screen than action. It's kinda brutal.

I also started pushing people on the street so I could beat someone up without seeing another loading screen. The fighting action in this game is pretty good, it's gonna be the next best thing I have since Sega refuses to give us Yakuza games.

Yeah, the loading times can be rather annoying at first since you need to visit each location, but once you unlock then, use Select & you can instantly travel anywhere, cutting down a ton of loading time. It will make from getting to missions & side-missions so much quicker.

Have you been using Fast Travel [press Select to open your map and then choose a district to instantly travel to]? That virtually guarantees that you'll only get one load screen between you and the content you're after.

Honestly, the loading scenes haven't bothered me at all, but I'm still purchasing the PS3 version both to support the developer/publisher as well as overall improvements to the game.

Edit: Beaten!

Kind of hoped the DLC stuff would appear in the Encyclopedia for easy viewing, but oh well. Just be warned they're gonna be really low level stuff.

Do they tell you when you can do this in-game? I'll probably start making use of this as soon as I get home tonight lol.

The game is pretty good so far though. I'm actually even considering buying into the PS4 version when I get one/when the game comes out, whenever those two line up.

I can't remember if it does or not. If it doesn't, it's not far into the game at all. If you don't have it yet, you should soon.

You can start fast traveling as soon as you visit whatever area for the first time. Basically, when the game tells you to go to the battle arena, you'll have to travel there on foot since you only visited a few locations, but then afterwards, a good amount of the map will be unlocked to which you can just fast travel. Heck, use it after your first visit to the battle arena, as you can instantly travel back to home base.

Does the NA cart work with the PS Vita TV? Also how's the vita versions frame rate?

It stutters, but not quiiiiite as much as the PS3 version. Of the two, the performance is better by a very small margin on the Vita, but if framerate issues really bother you, you might be better off waiting for the completely smooth PS4 version.

And no, unfortunately, the North American game card does not work on the Japanese Vita TV. It's unknown if it'll be made compatible with the PlayStation TV, but since the Japanese version of the game is compatible with Vita TV, the general thought is that it proooooobably will?

Just finished the Tohko route over the weekend -- a touching story of two childhood friends
getting close and turning into horrific monsters.
I really need the PS4 version of this game as the framerate and loading issues are just too real at points. It's not even the areas loading that's the issue, but more of an issue of characters not loading into the zone until 10-15 seconds after the fact!

And I have to ask... someone showed me this screenshot on IRC and I still can't decide if this is this intentional or if it's a glitch? This game is both buggy enough and random enough that it could go either way (which is a meta statement in and of itself, but I'm not sure of what):

1rt9gUW.png

If the gothilolis in the game really just start flying around not giving a damn, that's gdlk.

Zonic

It's intentional. In fact, you get the walking animation for it if you complete all the routes in the game. I was weirded out by it too when I first saw it.

Thats a pretty weird option!

Okay now Easy/Casual/Gamer. Guessing Gamer is hard mode? Casual it is!

bad gameplay lol
The sister mission where you have to
get cake for Nana
is the first thing in a game I've encountered in a very long time that's made me quit out of frustration while completely disregarding how much time had passed since my last save. Like, I knew, I just didn't care.

Gah.

Gah.

It's not that bad once I realize I don't actually need to fight anyone. You can get away enough, press L to exit combat and exit the map through one of the exits.

I still groan when Nana gives me a quest though cause I fear it would just be as bad, lol

Are you fucking kidding me?

Yup, that was my strategy. I had a bad feeling if I were to fight/get hit, it'd result in the cake being ruined, so I just ran away & got out of the area, then used fast travel.

Is there any shops that sell a book on raising your Hat (Rare) level? That's the last piece of clothing I need to level up in order to have 100% on all stripping techniques.

I'm stuck in the tutorial for like 10 minutes running cause I dun know how to do an "unblockable attack" ;_;

edit: omg I finally randomly did it somehow!

I had trouble with that as well. I just started rocking the analog stick like crazy & it finally worked. I thought I was doing it when you do the animation for a slower, more powerful attack, but I guess that wasn't it.

Thankfully, you don't have to do the tutorial again on repeat playthroughs on the same save file.

Its a shame ya couldn't say no to the blood kiss and then like be greeted with a Game Over lol. If you're gonna semi-act like a visual novel then you need at least one cheap/silly game over dialogue choice!

Do these unblockable attacks start to become super useful/needed later on? I dun even know what I did exactly. Its pretty cool the tutorial'll be skippbale btw!

Honestly, I don't think I ever used them (at least on purpose). When I had the aluminum bat, I think it would cause you to not flinch while winding up a swing that'd send the enemy flying a few feet. I GUESS that would be good if you're being grouped on.

Welp, coat & pants are now at 999, with my headphones at 600. Think I'm gonna do that Otaku playthrough finally & then do clean-up on Encyclopedia stuff afterwards.

I had this exact problem. Your best bet is stripping them off a maid by going to Junk Street & just waiting for one to appear, ideally near the middle exit.

& crap, no more mashing O & having all 3 clothing items be damages & ready to strip. Actually have to press Triangle & X again. At least the early enemies still go down fast.

It tells you how to do it at the bottom of the screen! You pull the analog stick away from the enemy when you attack. So if the enemy is to the right of you, pull left and attack.

It's easier to do (extremely easy to do, in fact!) if you're holding the block button at the same time, since that locks you in place, meaning you won't accidentally turn around instead.

And yes, unblockable attacks become extremely useful as the game goes on. I'm surprised to hear that people made it through without them, honestly. That's hardcore!

Depend on the weapon. Some weapon unlockable attack are useless, while some are great and useful when enemy is doing guard stance.

Some of the most useful one
- Final boss weapon, a quick slash with long range. Though it have strange hit detection and sometime did not hit the enemy when it supposed to
- Kitten Mitten; long windup, then unleash a combo that will hit all part of cloth with good damage: useful when cornering enemy. If enemy use it and you in Gamer/Otaku mode mode, be careful not to get hit by it while there's something in your back. My 999 equipment got shredded by this attack
- Tohko weapon a quick flying kick that can hit multiple time and multiple enemies
- Shizuku weapon a quick rush to enemy. Long range, can hit multiple times and multiple enemies. Especially usefull when you facing more than 2 enemies/

probably there's more, but i haven't try all weapon...

They should randomly appear if you just stand there & wait. It might take a minute or to, but maybe reload the area if they're still not appearing after about 3ish minutes.

I can read, honest! Was even holding the block button to. I'm just really bad at timing or have zero stick finesse or both cause I'm always bad at games!
