It's not a weapon, but there's a "Burning! Pro Wrestling" strip accessory that you can equip that allows you to use wrestling moves to strip your opponent. I want to say you earn it from the Arena from winning the....A rank fight?

Anyone have any suggestions on weapons with great movesets?

Also, is there a specific weapon that gives you wrestling moves?

my favorite weapons so far have been Zenra's weapon and the sword you get for beating the game. neither are perfect, but they definitely get the job done.

The aluminum bat is a really solid weapon that's easy to get early in the game. It has a 5 hit combo, and great range. (Its unblockable isn't that good, but I don't use it that often anyway.)

It's really easy to upgrade too, with microphones from a store in the Radio Kaikan area.

is there a shop to get the alluminium bat ? i'm still using my umbrella ( upgraded )

Any good suggestions for Hand to Hand combat movesets? I prefer using that over weapons so I was wondering if theres any good ones I should check out?

I don't remember. Possibly.

You should get some from enemies fairly early on in the game. If you see someone carrying one, you can try to initiate a fight too.

I'm not sure. Keep experimenting until you find hand-to-hand weapons that have good combos.

Some late game bosses on some of the routes (Shion's, for example), drop some really nice gloves.

It is. The PS4 version's framerate is smooth the whole way -- not a hint of frame drops, slowdown or anything else.

-Tom

Do the NPCs load in faster on the PS4? I feel like if you fast travel, you have to hang around for a solid 15-20 seconds before they appear. (PS3)

I like the game enough that I'd probably double dip on a better version.

Is there any way to upgrade a partner's equipment? Or is the only thing I can do to get something else and upgrade that instead and give it to them?

You have to wait for the game to give you the ability to switch their equipment/clothing. Afterwards, just remove the item you want to upgrade from them, & it'll appear in the list when selecting which clothing or weapon to upgrade/

Did my first 4 star side quest last night. It was the one where you have to save the girl from the 16(?) fanboys who follow her on Pitter and then show up on the street. Hilarious brawl and a couple of excellent strip combos later I had a pretty big grin on my face. This game has so much personality.

Well crap, didn't know the little sis ending had an alt outcome. & I think I missed my chance to do the 2nd mission from her (just reached Akihabara Park for the first time). Hmm, do I bother redoing my Easy playthrough for Shion's route or just save it for my Otaku playthrough...

Least I just barely got the 200-hit combo trophy...........& the nickname you earn & its description is a Jojo reference!!

Like everyone else said, Aluminum bat is OP first play through, as well as the high quality wooden sword. I personally love the magical wand though.

I'm pretty partial to the water pistols. I just like the moveset even if my partner usually gets in my way of actually hitting the enemies.

Also, I manage to defeat a police officer yesterday. Turns out that forced stripping is pretty much the best way to do it since it also stops their extremely damaging string of attacks, heh

Finally got my copy in the mail. Having imported last year, I was not prepared for triangle, circle, and X being used to attack, and switched it to control option C right away. Change frightens me. =P

I'm enjoying being able to read stuff now. AT2 had waaay too much complex kanji for a noob like me. Also, wonderful job with the Pitter stuff Hatsuu. You totally nailed the Internet-ness.

I've leveled up the weapon you get for beating the game to 999, which has an awesome "O" attack where you do about 5 quick stabs that hits all 3 areas of an enemy. Hell, on Easy, just takes two O attacks to get all 3 articles of clothing ready to be torn. Almost never use Triangle or X anymore.

Slowly making my way through this. Question though. I have a keyboard that does like 40 damage and yet all the weapons I can buy so far and craft don't seem to be anywhere near that high. What gives? Am I looking at this all wrong?

Good to know this. Not feeling the bat so much

I never really bought any weapons. You'll start to find better ones off of enemies and bosses as you go on.

The way I see it is those weapons are usually kinda slow but powerful so their base stat is naturally higher. However you can level up any weapon to the max so I think it really just boils down to finding what you like and just leveling up that. Same goes for clothes.

The only reason anyone should buy equipment is for strengthening the weapons/clothes they like.

However, unless you're playing the Gamer setting I say wait until the second playthrough to start deciding on which weapons to upgrade. Some +1 equipment drops over the course of the story and you get an absurd weapon after beating the game.

This might be the most RIDICULOUS question ever asked but, is there anything here in this game for those of us who don't enjoy female fan service lol

That's sort of what we've been trying to say all along -- this game isn't really about the fanservice as much as it's about the humor. There's tons of female AND male fanservice, sure, but the real reason to play is for the ridiculous dialogue, the chaotic fights and the tongue-in-cheek satire.

The closest thing you'll get to fanservice in this game are the cut-in pics of specific characters getting stripped (though there's an equal amount of female & male characters) & I guess finding the skimpiest underwear you can find (again goes for both genders) & then equipping a special post-game item that allows you to always see said equipped underwear.

........& then maybe going to AR mode afterwards. But really, there isn't as much as one would assume. The game does very little in terms of trying to be "sexy".

This might just be my own fantastic ignorance, but isnt this one of those games where bouncing tits are everywhere and you have the touch screen stripping parts?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, either you're thinking of Senran Kagura (the bouncing part) or Monster Monpiece (touch screen part). This game doesn't even have touch screen controls on the Vita version.

Actually, it does -- you can technically activate Unison Strip via touchscreen instead of by pressing a button, if you'd like.

...That's it, though. ;)

Hmm, Shion's route is probably the most interesting out of them all. Though I would recommend not doing her route on Otaku since it seems to have the most boss battles.

Pitter is the best thing about this game. I think I look forward to that just as much if not more than story scenes. It really captures the different types of posters perfectly.

Wow, so I guess the store I missed was K-Books, as I finally got the trophy for buying an item at each store. Now I just need to finish Shion's route for her trophy, which'll also give me the one for completing all routes, then do the Otaku playthrough. Though for some reason, I might be crazy enough to fill everything in the Encyclopedia.

Also holy crap at Pops' & Kaito's cut-in picture. I couldn't help but laugh at those.

Well, started my second playthough.

I'll finish all the remaining trophies, and level up my equipment as much as possible for otaku difficulty later.

Anyway, on NG+, it does show what dialogue options increase affection for one of the girls, right? That should help out, especially since I didn't get any on my first run

Started a rental.

Nice environmental design. Likable characters. I don't know if I have the time for what seems like a full-scale RPG that I didn't plan for though. Not really planning to spend too much time with this game but it seems like a fun diversion.

One word of warning, though: there is an inventory cap, though it's ludicrously high... but some players are reporting that when they hit it, the game is crashing for them the next time they try stripping someone. We're looking into the matter now, but if you're going for super-ultra completion status, I figured you should be forewarned about this. If you're on your fourth playthrough or greater, I'd say save often, and if you experience this issue, start fusing or selling off stuff and you should be OK. And in the meantime, we'll see what Acquire is able to figure out.

It doesn't seem to be a widespread issue, especially since the inventory cap takes a VERY long time to hit, but either way, I hope no one here is affected, and I apologize for any inconvenience if you are or have been.
