GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.
Epic funded the game. That was likely a condition to get it made.Good. Next time do a physical release. Also, next time release on the biggest PC storefront. Play stupid games, get stupid prizes.

Yeah, I hated the combat. The first game had much better combat and it wasn’t super great. Its getting a lot of critic praise, but i thought the game had a very generic story, great direction, poor combat, and a simple premise.
I'm not sure why its so beloved by some, i figured it wouldn't sell well.
Yea my thoughts exactly, my number 2 after Zelda this year, a shameFucking sad, but hey, atleast they had the opportunity to make it and it was a success... just not sales wise. My GOTY also
Remedy was paid during all the time of production, it's probably enough for them. The real question is about Epic, if they're happy with this.No physical copies for the console and basically no PC sales due to Epic exclusivity. Hopefully Epic’s cheque was sufficiently substantial.
Personally I think they made some dumb decisions.
Going by the bad sales, they must be thinking that 24/7. lolGuys, my uncle works at Remedy and he said that this is what they think about everyone who didn't buy Alan Wake II:
I'd bet any money the average casual gamer either: doesn't know about, care, or played Alan Wake 1. So expecting the sequel to push Epic's e-store is absurd. If that's what Epic was thinking with the exclusivity deal, they must think the Alan Wake franchise which is a whopping two games across 13 years must fart out gold nuggets.Remedy was paid during all the time of production, it's probably enough for them. The real question is about Epic, if they're happy with this.
If it was supposed to be pushing the store, it failed again, no matter what they try even if the exclusivity is legit here since they publish the game, people just refuse to buy on EGS.
And i think the fact it didn't launch on Steam is probably more impactful than the lack of physical release.
So after the money they just burned i'm worried about the Fumito Ueda game, or the one from Playdead.
It selling bad sadly doesn't have anything to do with it being bad. This awful game didn't sell well after all that undeserved hype? Maybe there is hope for this industry.
Epic games store wouldn't stop sells of a series people actually give a fuck about which isn't Alan Wake
The World is full of philistines.
What a shock.
Both is a factor, especially outside US, but yeah, lack of Steam release but then more.Remedy was paid during all the time of production, it's probably enough for them. The real question is about Epic, if they're happy with this.

Sometimes bad games sell and good games dont.
Yup.It looks really amazing, but I just don't see it as a $60 title. It's a sale game - short-ish, not a setpiece rollercoaster, not really a "moment" game.
I'll get it eventually, as I have with their previous titles.
It's not woke at all.Crappy woke walking sim.
Good news
also, the enemy variety - there was NONE. Like 3 diff types? pretty pathetic.Yeah, I hated the combat. The first game had much better combat and it wasn’t super great.
Let's be honest it's why SOME people on this forum hate it though, this is one line of dialogue in a game that's a god damn novel and Alan's parts being insanely good, despite this game also providing us with one of the best whitest space rock operas in ages and seeing this part in-game was a blast.Joke or not, this is pretty much every premisse people that love AW2 have with someone that disagree about this game not being good.
Bad games sell great all the time.A good game not selling well for whatever reason I can see, but a bad game selling well makes no sense and its more the case of :
"I think its bad and therefore shouldn't sell well"
If a game is selling well, its very likely a good game.

Why peepz hate epic? They made a deal with the devil, fuck them.

Bad games sell great all the time.
Look at all the games that got mainstream streamers attention on twitch.
We had plenty of those this year alone
yeah it's this for me but the truth is that NOBODY would know this before really playing and finishing the game.Crappy woke walking sim.
Good news
with which publisher though ?It's not woke at all.
Maybe they shouldn't have taken the epic money and released it on steam.
