Ridley Scott helming the series again? Another AvP? I'm down for both. AvP was crap... but come on the alien predator fight sequences were enjoyable.... it's just the dialogue... and the sight of Sanaa Lathan(as fine as she is) with alien shield and spear were a bit too much... to say the least.

Ridley Scott returning to the Alien series means the series it saved. Now if a Ridley Scott/James Cameron cooperation happens it will be saved and dancing around singing showtunes!

I'd like to see Scott do Alien 5 and Cameron do AVP. Alien needs a good dose of terror again, while AVP needs to be like an amusement park ride. I will say though, I Alien, and Aliens are two of my favorite movies of all time.

I watched that interview. He didn't confirm anything about Ridley Scott. He said "we have a deal with Ridley" but didn't confirm they were going ahead with any type of plan for Alien 5. In fact he said Ridley had "a couple of movies he wants to do first"

If Alien 5 is even a remote possibility, I don't think we'd see it any sooner than 2008.

Unless they make up a way for Neut to age in cryo, there can't be a continuation of Aliens.

If they do AvP2 or Predator 3 they better bring back Stan Winston and his agile, more stealthy Predator. None of that 10ft. tall, muscle bound, slow and clumsy bastards from AvP.

The original mask was also 10 times better as the ones from Avp looked like cheap rubber masks you can get from a store.

That wasn't that good of a story, especially for a movie. Comic books can meander all over the place because they don't have to be tight and concise. Also, half the dialouge was stripped from the Alien movies anyway.
