Alleged "Bethesda Environment Designer" leaks TES 6 information. Claims Hammerfell, Sailing, Shipbuilding, Basebuilding, and upgradeable summon

You lost me at "building" anything.

No, but seriously, at least they have some ambition. Hopefully it's going to be good, if not, I have lost my faith in Bethesda forever.

Realistic artstyle confirms that they are going for synergy between their Elder Scrolls games. It started with ESO(or maybe Skyrim depending on how you see it), then Oblivion Remaster looks like a next gen ESO, and now Hammerfell will match that look.

Hopefully they tone down the red hue a just a small bit with this next one.

For reference, the "ESO Cinematics look":

Less contrasty, a bit more more muted and movie-like. Pretty much what they were going for with Oblivion remaster.

Honestly all sounds pretty believable. I believe 2 years as well they'll want to launch for this gen and next as a cross gen title with plenty of legs.

There is sailing, a medieval shipbuilder mode using tech from Starfield, an explorable archipelago with ancient 'petra' inspired temples, deserts, bretons, orcs, altmer, crowns and forebears and ESO influence, many real life influence from egypt to pharaohs in the Alik'r Desert, mediterranean, and north africa
I can believe the ship building thing.

"Shipbuild, Basebuilding". For fuck's sake. Stop bloating shit up just to have "more content". What happend to good 'ol adventuring? There's a lot they can improve upon that. If I want to play Minecraft, I play Minecraft and not a TEMU-version of it in an Elder Scrolls game.

We heard a possible leak which talked about this stuff like ship building a couple of months ago.

As long as it comes together nicely, UI is easy to use, game economy includes ship building etc, am in.

Want to get rewarded for doing quests by being able to build nicer ships and bases. And it all needs to be useful.

Starfield doesn't feel like I get much out of it if I pursue this stuff.

Cut the base building and ship building aka stuff no one will give a shit about and spend the resources on creating interesting and interactive quests that change depending on the answers you give, the actions you take etc. Work on your damn WRITING!!!!!

That sounds absolutely horrible.

Nobody wants basebuilding, let alone fucking ship building.

Get it right Bethesda, you clowns.

Bethesda bloat there games so much nowadays that it causes them to not be able to flesh anything out which in turn causes the game to feel underbaked. They keep adding and adding instead of refining the core systems like writing, lore, combat, etc. It's a recipe for disaster especially because studios don't have 10 years to develop a game and bethesda won't possibly have enough time to flesh all this shit out they keep throwing in there.

Should've taken the settlements out of FO4 and focused on making a good story. The main story was horrific.
I am not sure if there is a correlation. We have seen from a lot of games released by big publishers - there is a deficit of good writers (they are either activists or code-name or whatever they are called).

I'm so fucking sick of base building, ship building, settlements etc. in Bethesda games, even optional it's just so tiring to hear about it all the time and them focusing on it so much. Oblivion feels so good to play because it's maybe the last time they actually focused on creating fun questlines instead "You should build a settlement here.".

I hope these leaks are true, and TES 6 is awesome, but i'll wait and see if it delivers before buying blindly as Bethesda's word is no longer as believable as it once was, but i want it to be really great, we've been waiting long enough.

Building totally ruined Fallout 4 for me despite it being a small part overall, so this ain't what I was hoping to hear.

Well, after F4 and Starfield put so much emphasis on building stuff you'd have to be delusional to believe ES6 will be any different.

All I take out of these leaks is that, as expected, Bethesda will put all their efforts in building the world and boring stuff that will keep you there forever. I expect new to nothing in terms of writing and quests. Will be just as shallow as Starfield.

As long as building shit ain't neccesary, it's all fine.
I hate building stuff in these games. The base building in Fallout 4 made me bounce off the whole game.

Didn't this leak ages ago? I'm pretty sure I've read all this basebuilding/shipbuilding nonsense before.

If you travel on the ship via loading screen then I'm not spending another second speculating on what this game will be like.

Oblivion Remastered has pretty much replaced ES6 for me at this point.

I liked how they did houses in Skyrim and I would've preferred that.
Basebuilding is something that I'm sure some love, but I won't touch it if I don't have to.

Sounds awesome except for base building and ship building. Couldn't care less about either of those things, and like F4 and SF I worry it takes resources and development time away from the more traditional elements of their games.

Oh god, it sounds like Starfield of the sea.

Yep, they haven't learned jack after Fallout 4 and then Starfield. Storytelling, quest design, character progression, etc… just keep getting worse.

But no, what's important is to bloat the game even more.

Why bother with a Bethesda game if that is how you feel?
Because they didn't have that in Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, and Fallout 3?

Their games started to get worse and worse as they spread attention to unnecessary shit. Well, storytelling and quest design was trending down anyways, but still.

They do now, move on with your life and play something that interests you

People have seen games like Pax Augusta with base building as their prime objective.
There is nothing Bethesda could do that would impress people in terms of base building, and they will have to do it in a AAA quality capacity.
