I checked and it seems like Crusader Kings II is activatable on Steam if you buy it anywhere but GamersGate.
Maybe Tony could give us some confirmation on the matter. In the system requirements part of the amazon page it used to say it required Steam but I just looked now and it's not there anymore.
It works. I bought a copy and was able to activate it.
Does crysis 2 activate on steam?
I'm new to pc gaming, but why is it a big deal if a game like LA Noire doesn't activate on steam? Sorry if it is an obvious question. I ask because I was thinking about grabbing it.
People like to have it listed in their Steam library for organizational purposes, Steam Achievements, sometime Steamworks games also have cloud saves and community features. It's a more streamlined experience.

Trust me, once you use Steam it's kind of a pain to go back to using something like Origin. Sure, it's serviceable to a degree but Steam has a smaller memory footprint and just looks better and has better features. I still have Steam launch even my games on Origin.
Well sure, gonna use steam for the most part, I guess I haven't developed any real attachment to the service yet.
I'm sure I will though.
Wait for your first mega sale, the summer one in this case. Those sales are glorious for people with small libraries.
Yeah, you will spend $100 on the summer sale easily and end up with 25+ games
Right now I don't believe that. Just looking at the steam library is very different from consoles. Lots of series and genres I currently know nothing about. Gonna be a weird transition, though I will still play console games.
I was planning on getting Witcher 2 for 360, but I guess I can get it for PC now, I don't really care which I just want to play it.
When you start seeing this AAA game for $4 and that AAA game for $7, you'll see what I'm talking about.
Games rendered at 1080p vs. Games rendered at 720p (or less) is a sledgehammer upside the head.
The "comfy couch" issue is real, though. Competitive shooters and stuff that doesn't support a pad like Bioware RPGs I buy on 360 despite the HUGE downgrade in graphical fidelity. I just hate sitting at a desk to game.

Thinking of picking up:
Kingdoms of Amalur
Syndicate
But I need to look at some impressions first, especially on the latter.

Yeah, i believed the steam thread guys were full of it, everybody who said "no steam, no deal" was nuts.
200 Steam games later...THEY WERE RIGHT ALL ALONG.
Do yourself a favor, when steam sales roll around send your wallet away per mail and have somebody change the passwords for your bank account. Don't become ONE OF US ONE OF US.
The fact that amazon undercuts even steam nowadays...Lord have mercy. Darkness II or SpaceMarine hmmm.
I played through Syndicate. I would not recommend getting it at that price. It's not a terrible game but it's not very good either, so I'd say get it when it's very cheap.
Can't buy Saboteur. I just get an error when I try to complete the transaction, and when I check my order history like it tells me to it isn't there. I even went ahead and tried to make a 'duplicate' order for one that was never placed, but just get the same error. Guess I'll have to try again later.
STILL can't buy Saboteur. When I try I get:
You have an order for this product in process. For your protection we are performing security checks which may take up to 4 hours.
It's been over four hours now, and when I check my order history and it's not in there.
Does crysis 2 activate on steam?
The amazon page says it requires Steam so yeah I guess it does.
edit: Well it used to say it required Steam. I can't seem to find it anymore.
:lol
The game's not even on Steam anymore.

Crusader Kings II activates on steam? Is the OP right? I didn't think Paradox has had Steam activation for any of their games.
So is everything in the OP on sale through 4/15 or just LA Noir and GTAIV?

Amazing fucking sale. Got the Dragon Age pack and am gifting the Ultimate edition to a friend and keeping DA2 and also picked up Crysis 2. Best of all? Had some game credits so got each for around 3.50 a piece. Sweet Lord you're killing it with the deals Amazon. You're my new Steam!![]()
It's a decent but no-frills port, if you have an Nvidia card. It's janked on ATI cards. Gamepad works well, if I remember correctly.
my current comparison is 1080p 3d 60 fps vs 720p (usually less)Games rendered at 1080p vs. Games rendered at 720p (or less) is a sledgehammer upside the head.

Thanks for the response. I was hoping to download it before work, but I'll have more time to play it on the weekend anyway.Dude I'm sorry you're having this issue, this happens to me sometimes as well due to the weird frequency of my purchases. It should absolutely be resolved today, and if it isn't please reach out via PM.
I don't really know where else to ask this since this isn't a steam game question, but how is the saboteur on PC? Does it have pad support and is it not a complete joke of a port?
ooh I have 28 dollars of amazon credit, maybe I should get something after all
that can get me
La Noire
Crisis 2
Dragon Age Pack
The Saboteur
wow
apparently it hates ATI cards
edit: wow I'm late
I heard there might've been a beta patch to fix ATI cards before Pandemic was shut down; are you using that?I have an ATI card and it plays fine.

Good god what a pile of shit in that Amazon sale after the first page.. lol. I guess there's 1 or 2 good titles on page 2 as well.. but man.
Is Mount and Blade: Warband unavailable now? Can't buy it..

Yea really. Don't even bother going to page 2+, honestly.
All the deals are on page 1, then filler so they can say 'zomg 150+ sales'.
