I just discovered my love for movies less than a year ago. You can't see every classic movie within three weeks of deciding that you love movies. I have seen Taxi Driver though, and it's one of my favorites.

Never understood the appeal of the movie. The last 20 minutes or so were awesome. The rest was so...empty. Boring. Nothing happens.

Plenty happens, it just isn't big explosions or gun fights.

Some people find well written, well executed movies with a great story and great performances appealing.
