PS5 is trailing PS4 by 10 million while the Xbox brand is in tatters all the while gaming has only grown.

WW gap is around 1.5mil and with Pro it will probably dissapear this December.

Drop in revenue (once again, not units sold or shipped) is not a surprise either, last Sept PS5 had Spidey bundle, new Slim revision and all this crazy spending prior to Spider-man 2.

Lol at this damage control. Playstation isn't doing well at all, not only Sony have they gone down with console sales around 40% year to year, but they also completely failed with their GAAS strategy pissing away hundreds of millions of dollars away. I know people will compare PlayStation to Xbox (a dead brand at this point) and say it's doing well, but compared to how well this gen started for Sony it's been a bit of a shitshow with their strategy in the last couple of years. As for Microsoft and Xbox, no point talking about them as they are completely irrelevant at this point and are probably planning to get out of console business, or at the very least go full multiplatform and not worry about their own console sales.

AMD who provides all consoles with hardware is down 40% YOY and didn't even manage to make 500m in sales.

Nvidia made 3 billion from PC gamers last quarter, up 18% YOY. Everyone is paying attention to all of this, Sony most of all.

It does include the discrete GPUs and the Steam Deck (I think) but it's mainly Sony and MS.

Especially being the quarter before the holiday season and the Pro's launch... this is real bad. It's like Microsoft didn't buy anything and Sony bought very little beyond what they had planned for the Pro launch.

That said PS5 and the soon to come PS5 Pro are grossly overpriced which is why sales are starting to slow down }
Base PS5 should be $399 at this point and the Pro should not have been any higher than $550
