We don't care about your setup up or CPU in this thread go flex elsewhere 😂

AMD CPU (5800X3D) and NVIDIA GPU (4070ti Super).

I will have no problem upgrading to next AMD GPU thanks to FSR4 existence. DLSS kept me with nvidia for quite some time now.

Grabbed a 5080 when I stumbled on it for MSRP at launch. I wanted an AMD card this time around but they delayed it too long with no price announcement.

Can't say I'm too happy with it for the price but it's okay.

PIcked up a mid range used AMD card after being Nvidia faithful for 10+ years. Salty dog. Covid scalping forced me to be OK with not having the latest and greatest GPU. Getting a 6750xt just solidified the viability of it. Still haven't run into a title where I'm unhappy with the output. Feels much more free. When I was buying whichever xx80 card was newest, I'd be ultra sensitive to ANY performance quibbles. Now, I'm just happy when it's over 60fps lol. A little gnosis there.

I'm all AMD 7900
7900 XT GPU
7900X3D CPU

I bought it at the end of 2023 for Elden Ring. Upgraded from RX580 and intel 2600k. I went back to old games after getting all the achievements so I guess the purchase was a bit of a waste of money. This PC is probably my last gaming platform :D.

5800X3D and upgraded from 3080 Ti to 5070 Ti this week

Amazing card. Cyberpunk 2077 path tracing max settings 3440x1440 and stable 120 fps (limited by monitor) melts the face.

Can't believe MFG is that good. All the stupid youtube drama about fake frames will now make me roll eyes

I own both.

1. My bedroom PC with a 4K/240 Hz and 21:9 QD-OLED 240 HZ monitor has a 4090/9800X3D. Havent had much of the driver issues on it. Its a pure desktop setup for the desktop experience.

2. My living room/home theater PC that I basically have set to boot into Steam Big Picture Mode has a 7800X3D and Radeon 9070XT on aOnkyo receiver and an LG C1 OLED. This was initially a Linux build with Bazzite/SteamOS, but sadly you can't use HDMI 2.1 on Linux due to the HDMI Forum not allowing open source drivers (this is fucking stupid, btw) and I am limited to 8-bit 420 (which doesn't look as bad as you might think) to get 4K/120 Hz. If AMD and the HDMI Forum can solve the 2.1 issue, I will happily go back to using Bazzite, as it's a damn near perfect experience that allows for a console like experience, but all the bells and whistles of a PC.

For my HTPC I will mention that had I known about the HDMI 2.1 issue earlier, I may have tried my luck at 5070 Ti (or tried to hunt down a 4070 Ti Super) as I find DLSS to be better supported in most games and mainly I can pass nvidia GPUs directly through my Onkyo receiver and get full lag free Dolby Atmos, access to VRR and full bandwidth 4K/120. My AMD GPU will passthrough, but won't support VRR or ALLM, so I have to run it through the TV directly, while everthing else goes directly through the receiver. Minor annoyance and I am looking to try to find a receiver that works with AMD GPUs, but no luck.

eARC introduces a very slight audio lag that most people won't notice. (It's godawful bad on the XboX series X)

I'm still using my evga RTX 3090 ftw3 ultra. I'd like to upgrade to a 5090 but my card still gets the job done for now and prices are ridiculous. Maybe later this year…

FSR4 really is a revelation. AMD absolutely knocked it out of the park....except with how few games support it. AMD is still a tier behind in RT performance as it rivals the 4070 Super, but it needed to be competitive with the 5070 Ti for it to be a true grand slam GPU. However, in the game that RT performs most poorly are nvidia sponsored titles mostly. RT isn't amazing for AMD yet, but it's no longer unuseable.

But I can easily say that if FSR not being as good as DLSS was the deciding factor, that is no longer the case. DLSS4 is still mostly better than FSR4, but the gap is no longer worth playing a premium for.

3070. It's still decent/good. Especially since I run games at 1080p and hitting 60fps+ isn't uncommon

I was originally planning to upgrade to a 5080, but I'm holding off for now. I might end up going with a 4080 instead

Might as well pick 5070 Ti, they'll be easier to pick up than 4080 unless you wanted to buy used.

Exactly what I did not want in this thread…

Thanks! I'll look into it 💪

I'm not really interested in buying used hardware, but the 5070 Ti looks like an insane upgrade from my 3070. It's going to be glorious when I get a new card.

I just bought a new Desktop PC, (still waiting for it to arrive) upgrading from my 10 year old laptop. I was struggling deciding between an 9070XT or an 5070ti. Most 9070XT here sell for 850 to 900€, while most 5070ti sell for around 1100€, and thers no way i pay more than 1k just for a GPU and for a close to 300€ diference it was a no brainer to get an 9070XT.... but then i found Asus droped the price for they 5070ti Prime OC model to 899€ and thats what i got for the piece of mind in games with ray tracing.

Still fucking ridiculous that both these cards are more expensive than a PS5 Pro. Last PC i built 20 years ago costed me 800€ and could run everthing maxed out when i bought it. I was expecting to do the same now for around 1000€ maybe a bit more, but then i got slapped with a reality check of today PC component prices.

I've been an Nvidia user since the 8800GT. Even used SLI at the time. Nvidia's RT 5 series and their bullshit prices/availability, missing ROPs in their cards and driver issues was enough for me to go back to Radeon.
Sporting an Ryzen 7800X3D and 9070XT for the next few years.

I'm on a 4070 ti Super, but I got my 12yr old son an RX 7600 for Christmas and I regret putting him on AMD, for a few reasons: FSR; Special K HDR doesn't work with Vulkan API games on AMD; he had a tonne of driver crashes for months, until I finally figured out it was a stupid Adrenaline issue and I had to workaround it with an Afterburner config I made.

Pure hassle, and I should have just got him an 4060 instead. Nvidia doesn't give me problems. So I'm going to upgrade him to something from Nvidia next Christmas, and stay well away from AMD.

It is

I was right in front of 5080s at the store, could have picked many models including the cheaper ones but decided on 5070 Ti. In Canada it's a huge price difference, I would have paid +50% more for ~15% performance difference with 5080. Didn't make sense. Card has same VRAM too so was a no brainer.
