Asks questions so Ezalc doesn't have to
If your Cintiq is 1080p then a DP to DVI adaptor should be fine.
Would a cheaper $10-20 one work or would I need a higher end adapter?

Where are you reading this?477 watts for the 390x!?
Holy..
980 needs 294.
Thought the 390 should need as much power as the 290 but has a little bit more power!?
Immensely salt about no hdmi 2.0 . i greatly prefer amd cards and its so cool and quiet. I literally have no choice but to go nvidia.

That's total system draw, but yeah, still high. It's also very different than other reviews:[H] got 494W full load on their 390X - http://www.hardocp.com/article/2015/06/18/msi_r9_390x_gaming_8g_video_card_review/10#.VYh2t1VJb-g
Crazy difference in power consumption compared to 980.
Hey. You're wrong. Quit spreading misinformation. You need an active adapter that costs $100~ for dual link dvi (1440p/60fps). Jesus.
Don't they tell you to not put the radiator below the card?
"I did a test last night, I closed up my case but left the radiator just in the bottom of the case exhausting its heat inside the case, this is a really bad idea by the way, but I wanted to see how hot the card would get."
Some interesting info from Gibbo.
"Hi there
I did a test last night, I closed up my case but left the radiator just in the bottom of the case exhausting its heat inside the case, this is a really bad idea by the way, but I wanted to see how hot the card would get.
After running Heaven 4.0 all night, the maximum temperature was 58c and the fan speed never exceeded 16%, starting point percentage for the fan is 15%, so it was quieter than the case fans and I was able to sleep with no issues at all.
Here is a picture, its in a Corsair case with the smoked side panels, so its not easiest to see and ignore the SSD's just randomly hanging in the bottom of case:"
From his first sentence:
He only did it as a 'worst case scenario' setup to see if the Fury X would reach its thermal limit of 75C. It ended up maxing out at 58C after 8+ hours of nonstop benchmarking, which shows how good the cooler is.
Just so you're aware... this'll work fine with most TVs. No HDMI 2.0 is specifically a problem for resolutions above 1080p (4k TVs).Completely agree. It's really strange they did not include it. (Is it expensive to include, hardware, licensing?)
I game primarily via my receiver to the tv, so this is a no go, even with better price and performance then nvidia.
And if steamboxes takes of, have they screwed them self? I like the small size of it and would be very nice for a little gamebox in the living room, to bad you can't plug in into (most) tv's.
Well there always the next revision.
And 120/144Hz monitors.Just so you're aware... this'll work fine with most TVs. No HDMI 2.0 is specifically a problem for resolutions above 1080p (4k TVs).
And 120/144Hz monitors.
How do you mean? Actual 120/144Hz 1440 monitors all have display port to my knowledge.
FWIW, almost all new 120/144Hz monitors do have Displayport, so there's that. But I have an old BenQ XL2420T which does not have a DP. Dual Link DVI only. My VG248QE and RoG Swift are good to go.Ah yeah, there are some 144Hz 1080 monitors that are DVI only. Same with overclockable 1440 monitors.
The lack of dual-link DVI and HDMI 2.0 really does take a bite out of potential customers.

Top, bottom, side panel, or front. If your case can't accommodate, you'd need to get a new case.Looks damn sexy. Can't afford two (yet).
Actually I've been wondering how that would work. How would someone work a Crossfire with Fury X is they both have built in radiators? My case only has one spot in the back for a 120mm fan, and the cord doesn't look long enough to reach the front of an ATX case. :/

Now THAT is awesome! That might be the most viable 4k solution for gaming on the planet at the moment when all factors are taken in to account (heat, noise, power draw, price, etc.).
And to the person who asked previously, I believe they go on sell Wed morning when the review embargo drops. (Wed morning for the east coast USA)
Know which retailers will have them? Will Amazon? What's the best brand of AMD card to usually get?
In this case they will all be the same I think

XFX, Asus, Gigabyte and MSI are pretty good.
I would avoid Powercolor, Diamond Multimedia and Sapphire...just my opinion, though.
Seems like enthusiasts are rushing for non-ref 980Ti instead, so there might be enough stock to go around.I really hope they have enough in stock.
I can only buy it in 2 weeks.
I just read the review, man that monitor looks really good.So I'm going to be getting this card on Wednesday for science!
But I currently have my pc hooked up to a 32" 1080p TV
I'm leaning towards that Asus 1440p 144hz Freesync monitor, but there are alot more on the horizon coming, do I pull the trigger on a new monitor now or just wait a bit and use the downsampling method on my 1080p for now?

Bummer... Sapphire is the only AMD vendor that sells at fair price in my country.ditto on Sapphire. they can't add proper thermal paste on their cards for the life of them.
Just salt in the wound at this point. Insert pinnochio gif hereSomebody made this.... lol
AMD Fury X priced at $969 AUD.
Watercooled and 980 TI beating performance for 100 less.
Thanks AMD, purchase decision made.

Thanks. Think I can run this on a 460 watt power supply? I ran a geforce 980 on it lol What is the power drain on one of these during gaming?

It's supposed to be 275W for the Fury X, which is markedly more than the 980. I... wouldn't use it on a 460W.
Hopefully it won't come down to that.you can buy from them but I strongly STRONGLY suggest opening up the gpu and redoing the paste yourself.
they gob that shit on and then the paste crusts and turns into an insulator of heat.
No idea what is going on anymore.450? Huh.
HBM conservative clockspeeds confirmed.
Lets see how it overclocks
Official retail Fury X box!
It is 95% of 980Ti prices here.
450GB/s HBM only?
Not the full 512GB/s. :/

That sucks. :/ At least the box is super nice.
