Yeah, I'm in EU, so including VAT, prices translate to 664€ and 724€ respectively, vs 654/889€ Nvidia's MSRP for 5070 and 5070 Ti. If AIB's stick close to MSRP, it will be a good offer, the 5070 Ti is currently going for well over 1000€, which is just nuts for a xx70 card.

Nvidia will not even take a look at the slides let alone care. 150$ over AMD is nothing when it comes to buying a gpu that u want to last at least 2 to 3 years .

Nvidia exclusive features to me at least worth more than this. When DLSS 4 performance beats DLSS 3 quality or when I am playing cyber punk path tracking with multi frame gen everything ultra graphics at 180 fake frames as what people like to call it , then yeah I'll pick Nvidia without even thinking twice .

Funny how YouTube influencers like to cause drama of artifacts while using multi frame gen or input latency garbage when in reality DLSS 4 + MFG has less latency than native and less latency than consoles too. And when you play cyberpunk which is the only game i tried so far with multi frame gen, no artifacts that's I noticed and I was playing on an OLED 4k 240 monitor .


Now I am 43 so my vision probably not as sharp as 18 years old but generally speaking ? DLSS and multi frame gen are killing it.

There should be plenty of availability since retailers have had them in stock since January. Far from a paper launch, but yes, they will sell out and be scalped hard as always. It will take a few weeks for these cards to be in stock, but they should last more than 2 seconds online.

AV1 encode and decode gets B-frames support, vastly improving bitrates. A B-frame is a frame that lacks image information, but instead motion-vector values, that lets the decoder reconstruct the image component using past and future I-Frames (frames with image data). The media engine posts a 50% generational performance uplift (measured in encoder/decoder frame rates), with reductions in memory overhead.

I have serious doubts. Like I said, if they ever go transformer model straight out the gate, I fall off my chair and would seriously consider buying one.

But while benchmarks (their slides though, not benchmarked by 3rd party so pinch of salt) of native rendering is kind of meaningless when DLSS 4 performance can beat DLSS 3 quality and sometimes even DLAA. Looks far better than native too.

Its a lot more complex now to indicate the experience of a video card than just native framerates.

I have a 7900XT reference card. Only problem is I need my pc and it doesn't have integrated graphics so I can't sell now even though I'd basically pay nothing to upgrade.

I expect by the time of launch the value of my 7900XT is going to crater.

If I were to upgrade the GPU to a 9070 XT I would have to throw a bit of money, but considering I managed to get my 7900 GRE for a bit lower comparing with it's MSRP price in europe, I think I would get all my investment back.

Thing is if I had to upgrade anything for now I would rather upgrade the CPU or get an OLED monitor.

Gonna wait and see how the 9070 stack up in reviews.

I suspect down the road FSR4 will also be available for 7000 series cards. They need to create buzz with their new cards after all.

Key things that indicate that they are stopping to trail behind. Being in the directX consortium has to reflect also in hardware and right now there's many indications that they are. When they were part of HLSL think tank group circa 2017 for machine learning and RT, they skipped a gen and after that the hybrid pipeline was just a low effort of just "doing minimum" to comply.

Now I see they also have their neural cache radiance path tracing project. One clown the other day was trolling Nvidia threads with NRC being a useless marketing gimmick and I pointed out that AMD also had papers on the subject. Well here we are.

FSR 4 ready for neural (meaning as of right now it might be CNN? Transformer model later?)

9070 XT price is good, AMD has a real chance of capturing back some market share with this one.
9070 doesn't make much sense to me though and I'd expect the market to price correct on this one again - it will likely end up at <$500 in half a year or so.

I'm shocked AMD is going to offer 4080 / 5070ti like performance (with OC maybe 5080) for just $599 and some people still say it's too expensive .What people fail to realise is that the $749 MSRP for the 5070ti is a lie. RTX 5070ti models that are actually available cost much more (around $900-1000 msrp) and that makes the RX 9070 XT $300-400 cheaper. That's a huge price difference, IMO big enough to make Nvidia fans finally consider going with an AMD card.

Does AMD have ML powered downsampling, or just standard downsampling? There's a huge difference, because without the ML part only x4 downsampling is usable (anything less will cause ugly pixellation and moire artefacts due to uneven pixel scaling). DLDSR looks excellent in 1.79x / 2.25x modes thanks to ML, making it a much better alternative to the extremely intensive 4x. With 2.25x DLDSR and DLSS balance, I have similar performance to TAA native, while the image quality is on a completely different level thanks to downsampling. If I however use DSR 4x performance is so bad that even DLSS performance will offer drastically lower framerate than native resolution.

To be seen how it performs eventually with all neural rendering but at least they are not throwing this under the rug that its not important features.

Overall I got the impression they are serious this time. Even this presentation was on a different level compared to the past. I hope they can offer some real competition moving forward. Nvidia might suck on VRAM and pricing, but software-wise they're nailing it. DLSS4 is incredible. We need to see how FSR4 compares.

That said I would have gotten a 9070xt if I still needed a card.

PS5 Pro is $599 but 799€ here, so I expect the XT to cost just as much as the Pro.
