I'm getting less and less interested this season. There's no one I'm really watching for which has been my main problem. I usually just watch this show in like 25 minutes just fast-forwarding through everything but the performances these days :/.
I still think Crystal needs to sing Adele. If she could play the piano and do Hometown Glory, that would redeem the season for me.
Didi or Tim is going home tomorrow, my guess is on Didi.

That would be AWESOME. It'd be a smart song choice for top 3 night, since that's when they show their homecoming videos.

Wasn't blown away by Bowersox this week.
...and maybe I'm going blind and/or deaf, but I thought Teflon Tim did pretty well this week actually. You can tell the judges just want him the fuck off the show.
Garcia did awesome this week, fucking finally.
DeWyze did fairly good as well.

Did not approve of the homogenization of Bowersox tonight. Lee Dewyze emerging as real contender. If I had to buy one single this week it would be his.

My weekly little writeup
1) Siobhan - I'm a big fan of her.. but man she cracked a ton in the beginning.. Her yells were 'ok' but her cracking killed it.. Not so hot. Performance: 6
2) Casey - Fuck I'm tired of his guitar.. and his songs that have like a word every 5 seconds with guitar riffs. He sings good but shouldn't be in this competition. Performance: 7
3) Michael - Sounded okay. Boring though. Hes just okay for me. Performance: 7
4) Didi - I don't get the hate.. Sounded okay but it was very generic and boring. Performance 6.
5) Tim - Ugh... Sounded I guess okay cause it wasn't pitchy. I hope he doesn't get by with more free "We like his personality" votes. Performance 6.
6) Andrew - Pretty good. He rebounded nicely. Not as good as Paula but I loved how he changed that song to something I could understand. Performance 8.
7) Katie - I liked it. It sounded good and she has a great voice. I really wish she would sing JoJo. She is exactly the same artist. Performance 7.5
8) Lee - Nailed it. He has always been my favorite and he blew it out of the park. Performance 9 - 9.5.
9) Crystal - Another solid performance. I love her tone of voice. She is just damn talented. Performance 8.5.
10) 16 yr old kid - I forget his name because every week he is that forgettable. His performance was okay and he isn't the worst but meh. Performance 7.
Bottom 3
Katie - She won't be voted off.. but she just will land there because her voice may be too common now?
Didi - Due to judges blasting
Tim - Cause he is always on the bottom

Extra Notes:
-Ryan prodding Didi was to get a sympathy vote.. she didn't understand but I applaud him for bringing that last note up about the song importance. She got emotional and that may have clicked with a few people.
-The whole behind the scenes thing is interesting though focusing on Lee and Crystal after their performance seemed a bit biased while the others just got 'green room' shots.
-LOL Ellen is the best thing to happen to this show in a while. Her comment about Tim looking like he was "Sneaking into a bedroom yet we can clearly see you" was fucking hilarious.

Worst to best:
Siobhan was awful -- nearly as bad as Paige last week, and she knew it.
Tim & Didi. Just boring performances of old-fashioned songs. Didi is still gorgeous and Tim still looks slightly insane while he's singing, but I liked his banter with the judges.
Katie is no Aretha. Pitchy. She has potential but still has a ton of work to do. Aaron's performance was about the same level.
Andrew - Finally! That said he's been in the doghouse so long that, if he's back next week, he'll have to do even better going forward, and I don't know that he has the confidence.
Mike & Casey were both really good.
Crystal was great as usual but a little shaky on the piano. It seemed that she was relieved when she stood up during the song, but she sang very well.
Lee was terrific.
Overall, except for a dissapointing performance from Siobhan, the night went well. Usher was a great mentor and I think that affected the kids' performances. I liked the behind the scenes shots, and with few exceptions the judges did well.

Ellen definitely comes up with some funny, random, and sometimes ever-so-slightly inappropriate comments. I'm glad she's not always playing the Paula "super nice, nurturing judge" role. She has some edge.
Also, Aaron Kelly, I think he's doing a good job for a 16 y/o kid. He's not good enough to be a finalist, but he has some talent.
I never liked Tim, but seeing him laugh at the judges and basically not giving a shit, I like him a bit more now.
