R&B is the theme (finally, first time ever on AI). The pre-approved song list is on itunes. I wish they had restricted it to 1980's o present, since I fully expect these contestants to go older rather than newer.

Not at all, it was a perfect rendition of a shitty 80s muzak song. I'm not even joking, she did a good job of it. For all the talk this show gives to having "radio" voices, she delivered a song anyone can easily hear sung at any dentist office in the country.

I know that sounds like I'm being negative, but I don't mean to. For all the middling boring ass songs performed on AI, that was not one of them. Her voice was gone, she did the best she could, and it worked.

Well obviously it didn't work, but whatever.

Same with Lacey leaving last week, she did a different song. Apparently this season, they can pick a song from any week, not just the week they leave. Though I do agree that Paige sucked horribly this week.

Maybe I am crazy, but I think Didi would make a terrific studio album. She could sing a lot of softer, nuanced, mid-tempo songs (like Norah Jones) and have a great album.

Finally got to start watching this week. Katie wasn't too bad. If she can break through and connect like Diana did in season 3, she could make the finale.

Just heard Siobhan's performance, and it was a hot mess. It was like she couldn't even hear herself. Siobhan's safety net is that the judges' save has her name written all over it.

To be fair to Simon, there hasn't been a genuine moment this whole season. I thought that song Mike sang last week of finals was, but looking back, it wasn't that amazing.

For me, there really is no one else worth watching than Bowersox right now. Lee's getting my attention a bit, and that Garcia kid throws in something inspired here and there, but Bowersox is already a star and someone who should be in the studio.
