Calm before the storm...we all mostly have wave three preordered here so we're set
 
So after going to 5 different stores today, I came home with Peach and Luigi. Now all I need are Kirby, Marth, WFT, Pit and Captain Falcon and I'm complete.

Well I stayed up all night last night and rosalina was never available as far as I can tell come here now to find she was up just minutes ago... stop screwing with me target... just stop... I've lost 2 nights sleep already over this(not in a row)(and I had other things to do..) and I will lose a 3rd just let me get her...
 
Got 10 amiibo in total for Christmas. I now have all of wave 1, except for the three rare ones. My mom said she was both Wii Fit Trainer and Little Mac when she was shopping in the US. She didn't know who Little Mac was, so she didn't get him, and she didn't think I would want Wii Fit Trainer (But, she got me Princess Peach xD). So, I have 9 from wave 1, and Diddy Kong and Zelda from wave 2.
 
I've been hearing rumors of the holy trinity getting restocked in Walmarts. That is probably the only way I'll ever get a Marth and Villager in US packaging. I'm also missing preorders for lucario and rosalina. I may be done with these things lol.

Maybe you should take it to Smash Bros OT since I don't see how it would related to this thread? Unless you want Lanky Amiibo.

I really hate gamestops in store lookup on there site it says my gamestop has pit and captain falcon in stock but when i call them they say they dont have any in stock this is frustrating.....
 
Please tell me I didn't miss out on pre-ordering Rosalina again.

Anyway, got Pikachu and Zelda amiibos for Christmas. They both look good, especially Zelda.

They could also be pre-orders, so technically not really "in-stock".

I think it wohld make inventory too complex. Boxes will be brought in and scanned. Everything from those will show online. Pre-orders are on a separate system, really. I get what you mean though.
 
I keep looking at Amazon listings hoping I'll stumble upon an honest seller wanting to sell at a realistic price :(
 
So I got two Amiibo figures coming next week due to an impulse buy from TRU after returning some gifts for some people, and I don't know why. I bought Samus and Pikachu because I liked those characters and figures, but Pikachu doesn't work for Mario Kart 8, and neither work with any of the other Amiibo compatible titles like Captain Toad or future stuff like Mario Party. I can use both to unlock stuff in Hyrule Warriors, I think, but there won't ever be a Pokemon game for the Wii U, and we're years away from a Metroid game, if that happens.

I also passed on other characters like Mario, Link, and Luigi because I don't like the figures right now and we're probably going to get a refresh or redesign on those Amiibo figures. However, we don't know if they'll have certain games that require "new" figures of old characters or something, like the Mario 2.0 figure and not the one currently out now.

Buying them to resell? Ehhh, I've seen quite a few pics here of store shelves with a lot of Zelda.

Thanks, I'll think I'll wait then and try to get something tougher. The only Amiibo I currently have is Link which I got for free with the Toys R Us launch promo. Are Rosalina figures still occasionally popping up on Target.com for pre-order?

Yeah, Rosalina is apparently showing up very sporadically on their site, usually it was late at night but now it apparently happened in the afternoon-ish hours.

Unless you really want a US package one, I say it would be better for you if you invest an extra $10 and get a french Rosalina from Amazon.fr for ~$23 total.

Thanks for the tip. But I don't have a EU system so I don't know if I want to go that route.

I called one today at 9:00 am (opening time) and the guy said they had none, despite GameStop.com saying otherwise.

...although he did answer incredibly fast for what was surely the first call after having been closed for no less than 36 hours... I mean, odds are he honestly did just know off hand, but still...

Its handy to have a google translate add on/extension or something similar on your browser when you order just to be sure on each page that you're selecting the right stuff (foreign region amazon sites mirrors the US one but I just recommend this as a precaution).

I don't know if there's an official date, but some stores haven't really released him yet. Walmart hasn't, Best Buy in store hasn't (online orders are just beginning to ship), Amazon hasn't...

Meanwhile Gamestop and a couple smaller stores have released him and sent out some online orders.
 
Now that Christmas is passed, it's time to go on the hunt. Monday after work, I'm gonna be hitting TRU, Gamestop, and probably a Wal Mart. Got gift cards and an unexpected bonus check. I'm ready to go for these things.

I know of three that are already gone, and I know Shulk/Rosalina are apparently lost causes. Beyond those, how's availability these days?

I'm just going to preorder from this point on and any notion of collecting anything other than the stuff I really want is out the window. I just have to hope that the quality control on the figures gets better is all.

Thanks for all the info. Really happy Amiibos are region free, I don't know if I'll be going for a complete collection but that will at least make getting the figures I really want a bit easier. Mega Man and Ness (I hope) will be insta-preorders. Won't be sitting around on those two.

? I bought a Falcon from Amazon today, complete with Amazon, LLC listed as the seller. If they haven't officially started selling Pit yet though, that's good. I thought I missed out on him.

Oops, I missed the part about Captain Falcon. My post was only for Pit. Falcon has been out at Target (in store), Amazon, and Gamestop online (not sure about in store).
 
I just received shipment confirmation from GameStop about my Pit & Little Mac order!

Whooooooooo so many amiibo's obtained this week. I think that might be everyone besides WFT, Fox, Marth and Villager.

I'm hoping to meet up with Toki soon about the extra Falcon in his possession.

Then I need to pre-order Wave 3 guys
