Has anyone actually opened their Marth, Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, or Fox Amiibos? I don't think I'll be opening the trinity but Fox is a maybe. He played okay in game. I could groove with him. I'm still holding out for that ZSS Amiibo.
I expect the third-party characters to be rare. I feel like Nintendo's only doing them so they can say every Smash character has an amiibo. They would rather have their own characters displayed on store shelves.Planning on getting Little Mac and Falcon from the next batch. I wonder if Mega Man will be the rare release batch 3.

Pit, Captain Falcon and Little Mac have been kind of scarce pre-release so I'd be looking at those characters.

judging bye reaction on this thread,
dam son, i think amiibos became Nintendos 4th pillar overnight. Wii U 3 DS and amiibos. the other pillar? QOL lol.
is there some way to preorder all of wave 2 in one fell swoop? i mean i see this things and the thirst for them is real and growing. its gonna be a phenomemnon. its like the cod and pokemon pic, targeted audience for amiibos: kids. actual audience doe: EVERYONE especially allo of GAF.
Collectable display boxes.Yeah, Nintendo already makes a ton of money on toys and merchandise, they just need to find ways of making amiibos collectable.
Yes and I absolutely can't wait.I can't wait to see the 'gotta catch em all' people in a few years.
Does everyone realise the Smash ones are just the start? There's gonna be an Animal Crossing set, a Pokemon set, etc etc etc.
These things are gonna be an entire platform for years to come.
Collectable display boxes.
I saw these at Target:

It would be cool if Nintendo did something like that for the amiibos. It would also be cool if places like "videogame box protectors" made acrylic cases or something with removable bottoms.

Do these have some sort of proprietary socket for Infinity figures, or would these actually work with Amiibos?
This is not how Amiibos work.I won't allow myself to buy anymore than one amiibo. With that said, if you could only buy one, which one would you pick?

So it looks like GAME in the UK have raised the price of Amiibos from £10.99 online to £14.99. Pretty scummy.

Good sign that they are doing well I guess.

Skylanders - £9.99
Disney Infinity - £9.99
Amiibo - £14.99
Like wow. Everywhere else like ShupTo, Smyths, Toys R Us and even Argos have them for £10.80-£11.
wait what? Why is my Kirby worth 25 EUR? I was looking into maybe buying Captain Falcon and was totally surprised by this...
Do we know what amiibos do in Cpt Toad btw?
They were £11.99 in store last time I checked in GAME.

Kirby is sold out everywhere at least in the UK (not sure about the rest of Europe). Villager and Yoshi are also super hard to find (managed to get a reservation in at a local Argos for Villager. No Kirby though)
Instore was £11.99 yesterday when I grabbed a good looking Marth with a straight sword and online was still £10.99. Checked today to see if any had come back in stock online and saw Kirby (and then the rest of them) at £14.99.

In what capacity do these things learn? So far they only seem to unlock certain behaviours and end up just being a level 9 CPU with cheat codes. Is there any actual documentation or ongoing research into this learning capacity?

It's December already and we still don't have the release day for wave 2 do we? I guess that will come after Christmas or something.
Well, this thread took off. Good grief.
