Yeah I get that. After what has happened with WFT, Marth, and Villager it just seems like that is going to be pretty difficult. Based on everything that has happened to this point it's come to being online at the right 15 second window. Or a kind gaffer doing you a solid.
 
I don't get why any of those were discontinued still does it mean they don't have an animal crossing, Wii Fit, or new Fire Emblem in the works? :(

Well guys Boards of Canada backed due to shipping to Canada being a bit pricey(Sorry man :() out so again I have 1 Captain Falcon Amiibo available AT COST(13.90$) + SHIPPING so first person to throw me a pm gets it.

NP. Just shoot over a pm whenever. My import should be in the 13th and I got one coming from TRU (that I bought on impulse) should be in before that. And as long as packaging isn't an issue I have no problem selling.

I recall many people on NeoGaf saying they couldn't find the Animal Crossing Villager or Marth in most stores during the first week of release.

I wouldn't call that readily available.

Not here in NZ. My local EB got one WFT and two Marths on launch day. Didn't ask about Villager. Another store I visited that morning had two of each, and they were gone by the afternoon. You pretty much had to get them on day one here, or preorder.

I would like to disagree with this statement. I have never seen a Marth in stores and the only time I was able to find WFT or Villager was with pre-ordering.

This. I've been to many different stores since day one and never saw a single one of the big three. Can't believe some people are blaming the consumers for that.

None. But Nintendo sells through all of their amiibo stock to customers. They are the ones making this demand. Not scalpels. Scalpels are just capitalizing on the situation.
 
Well preorder Ike and megaman at gamestop and for whatever reason, they didn't let me pre order Shulk. Went home and pre order Shulk gamestop online store no problem though lol.
 
I remember going to Best Buy as soon as they opened on launch day and they had no Marth, Wii Fit Trainer or Villager. I ended up finding them at Frys Electronics. I bought Wii Fit Trainer and Villager and passed on Marth because at the time I had no idea who he was and I decided from the start to only buy Amiibo for characters that I actually cared about.

Maybe add meijer as well. I went to the one in McHenry, IL earlier today and scored a pit for my collection. There's been a number of gaffers mentioning that meijer's have pits, all over the Midwest. There was also an entire row of Diddy Kongs sitting there too, so not many people must be checking them.
 
Since Toys R Us canceled my Captain Falcon pre-order yesterday (along with all of my Wave 3 pre-orders), I decided that I would go on a amiibo hunt for Captain Falcon at my local stores today, but unfortunately I was not able to find him. All that the stores had were commons.

So, now I can be counted among those who've placed an order for Captain Falcon at Amazon.fr. The total was 23.56 euros for shipping to the United States, which was a better deal than at Amazon.de, who would have charged 27.14 euros total. And at both stores they discount the cost of VAT from the item if you're shipping to the United States, which is nice.

I added a notice for it, I'm trying not to add stores that are smaller in size and online sites are weird, but I'm letting them know that there are high chances to get rare characters there.

Did you get that Villager and the Captain Falcons at the Target in McHenry today? I'm glad I called before driving out there.
 
I just purchased Lucario and Rosalina through Amazon.co.jp using a Tenso.com shipping address. Shouldn't cost more than $15 to ship them together, and the amiibo are only about 10 bucks each due to the strong dollar.
 
I'm not sure why sites let people leave comments on a product that hasn't came out yet, but this comment left on the Rosalina Target page made me laugh.

Indeed superb craftsmanship! Nintendo is taking their time with this beauty. I would not be surprised if they are sculpting each by hand. Which explains why there is so few of them! As she is a celestial being, obviously the most opportune time to open the pre-orders were in the mere twilight hours. Where the sun and moon can dance and sparkle in this item's limited quantity. Shooting stars falling to rest in the bay by those lucky enough to catch them.

So I went to Target trying to find a Luigi and at the front if the store there was a printed piece if paper that said that all Luigis were out. I talked to the customer service people and the Luigi amiibo wasnt even in their system or target.com. For fun I wandered to the electronics area and there were 3 Luigi amiibos.

I was worried I wouldn't be able to complete my Mario amiibo collection.
I'm worried I won't get RosaLina

Oh yeah my significant other found a Wii Fit Trainer in the wild. I wasn't even going to get one originally but now I'll keep it.

You can always trade that WFT for a Rosalina, I'm pretty sure Wii Fit Trainer is going to be the rarest rarest rarest one for sure once all 50 have hit and we may get reprints for the popular ones.
 
Any chances for bootleg, NES-style amiibo games? Made and sold by a Wild West country, perhaps? I want more to do with these figures.
