I've said this before but if these turn out to be like Skylanders, they will be more popular after the holidays instead of less. I see people saying they'll be less popular which is pretty logical and may be the case, but with Skylanders the kids got them as gifts and then the word spread. So it wasn't until after the holidays that the original Skylanders really took off.
The question with amiibos though is will that even happen, since they aren't all that useful outside of collecting. They don't have a Skylanders or Disney Infinity type game of their own and they're for a dying/dead console. So they could just fizzle out if Nintendo does nothing for them.

Don't know if this helps my two of my local Targets say that they get trucks every night and Best Buy said they are expecting a truck on monday or Tuesday.

Looks like amazon.jp has some in stock for 13 USD I don't know about the shipping though.

Amazon.fr 13 Euro + some more for shipping and ships in 3-5 weeks.
There's also amazon japan but it scares me so I don't know what the cost would be.
Edit: depending on what shipping is Amazon.co.jp looks to be cheaper than amazon.fr
I bought Villager and Marth from Amazon.fr and it came to $42. So that's $21 per. It's a much better deal if you buy two because of shipping. One alone would have cost me $28.
They are still available. It does suck they have a delay for 3-5 weeks though. I'm hoping I'll get them both next month sometime.

Well I purchased my first amiibo tonight (Fox). I want to get them all but I'm just focusing on the rare amiibos since money is tight.
As for wave 3 I've pre-ordered Ike, Shulk, Mega Man, King Dedede, and Sonic from Gamestop online and Bowser, Toon Link, and Sheik from Amazon USA. I hope to somehow snag the other retailer amiibos but we will see.

Yeh, we have three Little Macs here and two are looking down while the other looks straight forward. I'll try take a pic but might be hard as they are all boxed still.

I said I was done with amiibos after buying wave 1, saw luigi, diddy, and zelda while out shopping today and ended up buying them. I need to stop.

How many of you guys used Deep Discount to pre order??? A post early on said they're reliable (which they are), but shipping is slow (also true). I pre ordered Falcon and Pit on the 18th AFTER they said they were still taking orders. I wonder what are the chances my order will go through without any issues....

Just called my local Toys'r'us since I was trying to find out if they opened early for the sky guys and asked if they had any lucario preorders. They said they had Dedede, Megaman, Sonic, and I think a handful of others.

Ended up going to the electronics section at like 6 or 7 stores trying to score the rest. Really want pit, kid Icarus uprising is one of my favorite games and I need him on my shelf. I also got the ok from my girlfriend to put up a shelf in our bedroom to display them until we finish the basement

But Amiibos learn techniques they see you use...do you really want Pit learning your bedroom skills?
That said, let's talk something else than the availability of these, to make a change. How about showing how we're displaying them so far?

That's a really spectacular display area! Nice lighting too! I posted pics of mine and tried to get people to share earlier today, but no one responded. I guess it's still early. People are more focused on trying to get them than figure out how they want to utilize them.
I like SeanR1221's creative use of a balance scale to emphasize DK largeness.

Oh boy you're going to wish you started back up sooner ;_; Pit is really hard to come by. He going for 70 bucks over at eBay and I've noticed that they are selling out all over the place. Not just the US. Amazon.fc amazon.co.uk and even amazon.de. I think Amazon.jp is the only one left in stock. I'll keep an eye out for you though and gaf as well.
Thinking about trying to find an extra Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong to give to my grandma for christmas. When I was little, I would go to her house and play Donkey Kong Country 2 on her SNES with her. She is one of the main reasons I became a gamer, and I think she might like to have the figures.

yeah...the 1 on the left is closest to his image. hard to see if its perfect because you have it angled but im guessing that 1 is. thats how my mac is. my samus is a little crooked but it was the best i could find. that 1 and marth and now mac look to have the most issues. maybe diddys eyes? my pit and falcon are perfect and they both look awesome....by far the nicest of the first 2 waves.

That's awesome, my grandpa was a huge legend of zelda fan. He finished all the handheld and console games, but died of cancer while playing through twilight princess. I have his GameCube and copy of the game and plan on finishing it for him one day. He asked me to come over and help him but passed away a week later so it kinda makes me feel like shit inside when I boot it up and see his child name "Johnny" on the save slot. He was 70 and always went by john, that Nintendo magic must have made him feel like a kid on an adventure.
The interesting thing is, I never intended on getting ANY Amiibos when I first found out about them.

For those who are curious what future amiibo will look like (as far as posing),Nintendo is using the default Smash 4 trophy/images for each character. Here is a nice visual display of all of them.

I got only Mario and thought I was done. Ended up getting Peach so I decided I needed to get the rest of the Mario Amiibos. It will never end...
Also got Link and Zelda so now I'm fucked

The same happened to me. I only had a couple I "had" to get from any given release wave. I always figured I could pick up some of my second choices because, hey, they'll be around.
Now the wife and I figure that if we see one we have any remote interest in we have to get it when we see it. This is why we have Fox and Yoshi. This is also why we DON'T have Villager or Marth despite my seeing them for over a week after release and them suddenly going scarce.
Knowing that, here are the ones I'm really curious about.
Robin. Will they include both boy and girl robin on one amiibo?
Duck Hunt. Can they make it not suck, since they need to throw a stand on the dogs back to support the duck?
Palutena. If they nail the details and the transparent sigil, this will easily be the best amiibo.
