I saw somebody do that a few days back, said they found one close by so never mind. Well too bad if that person already bought it for you. Wait for them to ship it like a reasonable person or buy two and sell one later but somebody is doing something nice, for you, because you asked them to and spending their money to boot. You don't just get to "back out".

Fucking hell, Nintendo. Releasing 3 new amiibos in Canada on December 23rd? Who the hell decided that was a good idea? Did anyone think it through?

Anyways, went to 10 different stores, couldn't even call around because only 2 of the 15 or so stores I called would actually answer, and those 2 were already sold out. Finally got a hold of lovely Pit, C Falcon, and Luigi though! :D When I asked the girl at EB Games if they got the shipment in, she got this big smile on her face and pulled up the box with the last one of each in. Extremely happy!

Ugh. The stores in my area did not get them. I give up.

Wife was not pleased when I asked to buy toys for almost $30 pop from those helping me here. I'm sorry :(

Shit, man. As soon as I woke up I saw people claiming Canada got the shipments and the first thing I though was I hope Byron Bluth knows about it :(. Where abouts are you in Canada?

Wait, are you serious? I spent the last two days fishing around, with store employees having no idea when anything was coming, and they suddenly show up this morning??

The EB website was just updated today with today's date as the release for the new wave. I saw that and knew they would be in store just like the other times.

The closest EB is 2.5 hours away. I live in a small town :/
 
There's a bunch of these at my best buy that I'm at. I thought these were all suppose to be sold out?

Peach, Zelda, Donkey Kong and Samus

These are all of the ones that are common and not sold out. Along with Mario and Kirby.

I told my fiancee I spent $35 on a Marth from Japan, and she said she was happy that I finally got the one I wanted the most!
 
Still waiting on my Amazon.ca preorders of Wave 2B to ship.... waiting... waiting...

I went ahead and ordered all 3 Wave 2B again this morning off of ebgames.ca when they came available. Now to see what arrives first.
 
So I got Samus, Falcon and Fox.

They're... decent I guess. Samus looks a bit boring next to the super dynamic poses of Fox and Falcon which is a bit odd, but at least she doesn't have any noticeable supports.

I'm most pleased with Fox since he looks pretty much spot on, has a decent paint job (aside from the opaque visor) and fairly unobtrusive supports. Falcon loses out even though he very nicely painted and modeled, that damn support is just too big.

The only reason I caved in and bought a few is because it's pretty rare to see some of these peripheral Nintendo licenses get their own figurines, so in that respect I am glad I did.

Will buy more if they look good enough quality.
 
So my Best Buy FINALLY got Little Mac in, my friend texted me the photo to come pick him up after nearly a week of waiting after they apparently got him in and I was told my order was ready for pickup. Seems the only copy they got was for my preorder.
 
Stopped by the Nintendo World Store in NYC at lunch today.

All common figures are well stocked there. If you want a Pikachu or Fox, that's the place to go. They've got tons.

Other than that, lots of Mario, Link, Peach, Zelda, Yoshi, Samus, etc.

They have a main display with every current Amiibo in it. Underneath Captain Falcon is a little hand-written placard that says "Coming Soon!" Store guys didn't know WHEN though, and they said it would have to be any day now.

Are the amiibo displayed the ones everyone gets, or are they the ones originally shown to us that look vastly superior?
