I see scalpers just preying on people stupidity. It's not just that they think they can resell it. It's the urge to complete the set! Something similar if not the same problem you are having. The scalpers have that missing pieces to the puzzles and they sell them for stupid high inflated prices. Which I shit you not. They are starting to go for 125. Go check eBay if you don't believe.
 
Oh man, I've fallen hard into Amiibos this past week. I wish I got on this earlier.

So what's the best way to get the ones that are sold out? Amazon France?

Oh I don't doubt that in the least I imagine Rosalina will be in very high demand and low supply for sure it seems. Hopefully if I can't snag one online between now and feb 1. I can get her in store. I have alot of targets around.
 
My sister was over on Christmas and saw my little box of them and loved them. She had no idea there was a function and just thought they were figures only. She grew up playing Nintendo games and loved Peach and Yoshi the most of the ones she looked at. She didn't recognize Zelda either since it had been awhile since she played any game.

Amazingly, the Amiibo's I ordered from the Nintendo store yesterday on Boxing Day, arrived today!

The boxes are literally flawless - no scuffs or dents at the bottom of the box.

I'd recommend ordering from them if you're a collector and want mint boxes.

Has anyone figured out the best way to display the figures in the boxes? Right now they are lined up on the top of two dvd entertainment wood cases for me but its small, I got 2 rows (1 stacked on top of the other) and 2 figures in front ready. I need to figure out a better way.

Also, where is wave 4?!? So I can preorder it already LOL. I tell you, now that I trust BestBuy.com shipping (my little Mac was flawless), I'm sleeping easier at night. Just waiting for my Pit :-). (And my extra Falcon)

Edit: I'm thinking about preordering a second Sonic and Lucario. One thing I noticed, isn't it interesting that in the toys r us coupon email you can only order 1 Sonic? Maybe he's gonna be rare in that group. And you can't even preorder Ike or DeDeDe till a later date. Weird.
 
I'm normally an opener, but these look too good in the boxes and I don't think my appreciation of them will improve out of the package. Not playing Smash so I'll be leaving them in for now at least!
 
I would love if platinum could retro fit amiibo support into w101. Just give us some costumes

Red - Mario
Pink - Peach
Blue - Link
Green - Kirby
Yellow - DK
White - Fox
Purple - Meta Knight
 
Has anyone else noticed the quality of these things improving over time? Early ones I've seen and ones that have sat on the shelf seem like they have more paint errors and extraneous marks. Newer stock seem to have vastly improved paint jobs.
 
I now have all the Amiibos! :D

Thanks to Christmas and awesome people giving me them, wave 1 and 2 = complete!

Now to wait and save for wave 3, which I am most likely getting all of on day 1 (probably, I think), got all but 3 of them pre-ordered so far lol.

They had pretty much every amiibo, but I think this was one of their last Little Macs. There was a ton of Captain Falcons though.

I wasn't sure if I was going to get Captain Falcon since I just can't stop thinking about that stand, but I figured I might as well while I can so I don't regret it later on.

Little Mac looks amazing though. One of the better looking amiibo in my opinion. Even if face looks pretty spot-on.

Hi folks. I've been out of the amiibo loop for the past few days. My gf showed me at Christmas that Little Mac and Pit were available at gamestop.com. I checked the next morning and they were gone. I still need those two and the holy trinity.

Have I missed any amiibo news the past few days?

Nope nothing to speak of per say. Pit and Little Mac are still trickling out. No stores have replenished the holy trinity to my knowledge except Nintendo World.

I think.

Weird, I hadn't noticed, because I haven't even taken mine out of the box yet, but it does sort of look like both his feet are cut across just below his laces.
 
Not been keeping up with Amiibo news etc, but is there any reason to go hunting for the more rarer Amiibos? Will Nintendo just eventually restock them, making some of the rarer ones easier to buy in the future?

Use chrome to translate and you should be golden. I think for one us like 35 dollars that includes shipping though . I just woke up but I remember how much I payed for marth when I order him from there.

I think they'll fly through the smash bros lineup and cheap out on nfc cards for re-releases.

So slight dilemma here. I freaked out and ordered Little Mac from Japan and its not set to arrive for like 4 weeks. Gamestop shipped my Little Mac order placed on Xmas day and it will be here next week so now I'll have an extra Japanese amiibo that I can return for a full refund $25 or sell. I'd be happy to sell it to a Gaffer but I don't want to lose money. Anyone interested at that price? I'd much rather keep the U.S. version.

Yep,screw all that hunting around shit. I ordered both Rosalina and Lucario. If I manage to pick another one up instore I'll either keep or trade for something down the line. But at least I know for sure I'll have one.

Yeah no doubt, it's hard for people not to import them when retailers and the way these are being distributed in the US sucks and is done in a counter intuitive way that makes it hard if not impossible for people to get without having to jump through hoops. I'm just dreading trying to find Rosalina on release day. I have her pre-ordered at GAME, but like any wise person I don't trust them. They pulled through with my Little Mac pre-order and Villager order but who knows with them. If they let me down, I might not be able to find her so easily.
