Nope. My baseless speculation is that they want stores to get their Wave 3 stuff out before they start taking preorders, likely to not only make sure stores fulfill their part but to also give them time to start readying themselves for the next wave.
I'd say probably in March or April for all stores to start taking preorders. Skylanders also seems to have new things out around that time, and leading into Easter; these figures likely would be popular as items for parents to stick in kids easter baskets so if Nintendo is following trends, I'd say its a good bet that Wave 4 will start launching the week of easter, which is April 5th this year.
Stands for "For Your Entertainment". It's a store in malls here in the US that sells CDs, uh Video games and other pop culture things like ridiculously over priced Doctor Who and video game related merchandise and large cut outs of your favorite One Direction member.

So I considered selling my Wave 1 & 2 on the Buy & Sell forum, but once I listed it I started regretting it to the point that I removed them. I started getting burnt out from running around trying to get them al,l F5ing websites late at night. I'm a Rosalina away from having all of them and I'll probably have to pay out the ass for her but I feel I need to continue. Nintendo of America just makes this situation so much more difficult then it needs to be. Jerks! Wish this was easier.

Gamestop doesn't have street dates for any of Wave 3. They can sell you the figures as soon as they get them, so if your store is gonna get Shulk on Tuesday you can buy him then.
As of right now, it really looks like GS will be getting most of their Wave 3 on the 13th; with the rest coming the following week on the 20th. Fairly sure this is 100%.
I wouldn't be surprised if other retailers will follow a similar pattern. Best thing you can do is check in with your local store, they should hold them no matter what if you have a preorder.

Too bad the manager at my gamestop said they won't be calling people due to the amount of people they'd be required to call for each amiibo pre ordered.
I think they should just call people who have amiibos pre ordered and not call for each amiibo that one person has pre ordered, if that makes sense.
