Jesus, ugh already? I got my nowinstock account setup so hopefully that helps me with future endeavors. GameStop better open those pre-orders soon, I need to get, at least, Toad :/

It's because 3am for us is midnight for them. They announced on Twitter that they'd do 'em shortly after midnight. I do understand the frustration, though.
 
Ok after a night of no sleep, I know I can shorten the list by a couple at least. Going to go through the posts from last night er, this morning and see who on the list managed to get one.

I realize the timezone differences but they couldn't have taken that into account? If you put it at say 9 pm Pacific it works better for everyone across the country.

Currently I am planning on getting on amiibos for characters that I like however, once in a while, I get that urge to get them all... I am fighting that urge...

Agreed, I even felt that 12 am PST was absurd for people living on the west.

I have to draw the line somewhere, and for myself personally, I'm not willing to stay up until 3 am to pre-order a figure no matter how badly I want these things.

People have jobs and families, putting them up for pre-order in the middle of the night no matter what timezone you are in just feels like a giant slap in the face.

Anyway, I'm trying my best to stay calm because I'm just so frustrated.
 
I know others have complained in similar ways and I also know I'm not going to stop but I can say that this is 100% not fun anymore. I have one vehicle between my wife and I, and I work from 6am to 4pm. I can't waste my life and my sleep refreshing for pre-orders or the random hope a figure will be available again online like Rosalina was last night. I have email alerts on availability of every figure I want but it does me no good at 3 in the morning.

It just sucks. I still want Rosie, and I really want Ike and Mega Man. I had to drive for hours to track down Toon Link and eventually Sheik, and it's just ridiculous. I'm sick of going out every single day because nobody knows when these things actually come out. Meijer will apparently have them today? I freaking doubt it. What good does it do me if they do anyways, we won't get a formal announcement I'll just see somebody on here or Reddit from Michigan say "Hey, Meijer has the rest of wave 3!" then I'll be stuck at work until the afternoon when they'll be all sold out.

/frustrated.

Yeah, I *just* remembered this morning to go back to that site and adjust my alerts to go off for the Wave 4 stuff! And making sure that a Marth alert was still on there for the eventual magical restock...

Anyway, hopefully it gives us all an upper hand... it was kinda hit-and-miss during the NA Rosalina craziness (when she was going up for pre-order those couple of times in the wee hours of the morning)

You''re not going to be able to buy it from a store at this point. Amazon and ebay have them for $50.

There is no decent price anymore. Unless you can find somebody to trade with you.

I bet they did that because of the low volume to avoid crashing the site ala Club Nintendo. I assume it would have been many more people slamming the website with refreshes if it was during the day.
 
How have your guys success with Amazon amiibos been? I pre-ordered Shiek and Toon Link there forever ago, but Shiek still has no ship date listed, and Toon Link isn't guaranteed to arrive until March. I'm slightly concerned they could cancel on me, is that fear justified?
 
Bit the bullet and imported Sheik and Dedede today from an eBay seller...$45 for both shipped from Japan, which is reasonable. Now I'm just left wanting Sonic and Shulk. OmahaG8 hasn't returned my PMs, so I'm assuming my Pit for Shulk deal is dead...

To my knowledge, GS.com is the only site to not cancel preorders, but I've heard that happening from pretty much everywhere else. I'd like to think Amazon will be a surefire bet for ya. I'd like to.

Amazon doesn't have the wave 3 stuff in yet, when people are buying stuff from Amazon like metaknight they're buying from the associated sellers and not Amazon proper.

Sweet. I pre-ordered the rest of the Wave 3 ones I want (Shulk, Ike, Megaman) from them. I really want Shiek and Toon Link though.

Need an NA one for the collection, will probably end up importing the one I want to use for play eventually. Only 'extra' I have atm is an NA Mac, if someone were looking to trade. Still waiting on Lucario, and I seem to have missed out on Toad. Also, waiting on Shulks from GS in the US...
