Anyone here want to have a Smash with me online? I need to practice with a few characters.
That is amazing.
Me and Schwann just got done with a session. I'd play with you, but I need to get to bed soon to wake up early.Anyone here want to have a Smash with me online? I need to practice with a few characters.
I now have my first Amiibo, and I'm kind of in fear for my wallet. These are nice.
That's great, and Nintendo says a lot of things, which often get totally changed the next time someone is interviewed. See: Koopa Kids.
My own impression simply follows how Sheik is used within the games themselves, in dialog, cut scenes, etc. In the actual stories, it's a disguise to look like a ninja guy. So that's how I see Sheik.
This is Zelda's alter ego. Using a variation of the name of the ancient Sheikah tribe, she appears before Link and teaches him melodies instrumental to his success. It's believed that she's not just a quick-change artist, but rather that she is able to instantaneously alter her clothing and her eye and skin color by using her magical skills.
The persona Zelda adopted to escape from Ganondorf. She completely hid all traces of her Zelda identity and appeared to Link as the last member of the Sheikah tribe. She taught Link essential ocarina melodies and then vanished in an instant. She didn't appear very often--rather, she would show up to support Link in crucial situations.
In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Sheik claimed to be a surviving Sheikah. However, this was just a cunning disguise for Princess Zelda so that she could escape Ganondorf. In Smash Bros., she's the complete opposite of Zelda, striking with fast attacks that can keep an opponent off balance.

Fun.
Maybe some other time, though. My NNID is Namagem, if anyone wants to add me. Just do me a favor and remind me you're from AmiiboGAF when making the request, it'd be very appreciated.
3ds or WiiU?
Wii U. And hopefully with custom moves on without any equipment equipped if possible.
Awesome, let's give it a shot. I think it'd be cool to get 4 player going, but I can never seem to get that off the ground with folks here.I'll add you tomorrow if I can remember. I'm not that great at the game yet I usually main Lucina (my peach game is getting good though) so go easy on me! Lol
No offense, but I absolutely refuse to use any custom moves whatsoever, as well as items and equipment. I tried it on the 3DS just to mess around for a tiny bit, then I was just "Done!".Wii U. And hopefully with custom moves on without any equipment equipped if possible.
That...sounds freaking insane!No Custom Moves.
Max Speed Equipment.
Great Cave Offensive.
All items on high.
It's the only way to play.

I never liked the idea of the custom moves, personally. There's too much room for exploitation and broken tactics. I prefer to play as and against the characters as they were originally intended.
Sure, my Mega Man could have Tornado Hold as a recovery and do damage, or use Skull Barrier as a reflector, but it just doesn't feel right and I don't think they belong in serious competitive fights.
That's just my take on it.

Did you come up with that yourself?? That's nuts!

Yeah, I'd imagine. I have a special, simple match setup I tend to play with my one friend, and it gets pretty hilarious: Omega stage/FD, Time 5 min, Items High, only S Flags and Super Mushrooms.Tried it once with some friends when we wanted to screw around. It's absolutely horrible. No one knew what the hell was going on.

tell that to transgendered people
Sheik should be referred to as a man
Yeah, I understand, hence why I mentioned possibly two of the coolest and most useful custom moves Mega Man can have. Having those would be incredible, but, flawed as he may be, his default is the specific version I focus on. Too many characters have "really good" moves for customs that, I feel, undo the natural balance of the game and completely change the game of each of them. While I do get your POV, I feel it is a way to make characters that would normally suck become viable in tourney's like Palutena and Ganondorf while potentially improving on other characters default movesets such as Fox and Falco.
I play mostly 3ds. I'll PM you my Wiiu user name.
Zelda lore is deeper than I thought.
Anyone got their orders from TRU.com yet? I still don't have a good tracking number. -_-
It'll happen soon enough!I can't wait to play with all you guys one day...

Btw, I posted here a night or 2 ago but you never replied:
I watched the first episode of Shaman King. Gave it a shot because of your recommendation. English dub, very late-90's/early 2000's dub, kinda nostalgic-sounding, like Digimon. Got that vibe from it. Though I'd never seen it, it seemed like I watched it back in the day just by the feel of it. Admittedly, it was late and I dozed off at parts, but I have to say, it was pretty neat.
Though, I'm surprised. I thought that brown-haired dude that was your avatar and plastered over everything Shaman King was the main character, but it's that weird sounding little guy with the clearly adult male voice? (Which is kinda jarring, but hey, this is a dub from more than 10 years ago)
Can't guarantee I'll see more just now, but I at least wanted to give it a try. I'd be down to watch more sometime. Dunno when, is all.
Oh man...I was told Mega Man wasn't out until the 13th. So I see here that he's out already, and I got a call from a local number I didn't recognize yesterday so I didn't pick up...that was totally the store, wasn't it? And it's been two days so they've totally sold off my preorder. That is, if they didn't do it the second I didn't pick up the phone, right?
Wait. Mega Man is out?! Where?!
I go to the store everyday seeing if I can get any new info for everyone... but yeah if its GS you get 2 days, BB is week, TRU is supposed to hold 7 days, Target holds are 24hrs, in store reserve cards are 48, Walmart is 24hrs not that target or walmart took in store preorders but ship to store is like a week hold, F.Y.E traditionally has held stuff for 48.
I don't think that's what happened. Rumor was some TRU put some out in certain areas and then removed them till the 13th. BB is on the 13th and 20th.Oh man...I was told Mega Man wasn't out until the 13th.
