Did they now? Was that in the US direct too or just JP/EU

Pretty tired of my New 3DS not being able to talk to any Amiibo. I remember I brought it to the launch of smash and being so disapointed that it didn't work...
I believe its for everyone. Not even Japan has amiibos support in smash 3ds
 
I bought Zelda the second I saw her in the store, rarity aside, I love the character and the color purple, so it was a no brainer for me.

So that newegg Meta knight listing is just a mistake?

All the Amiibos, including the retailer exclusives, were listed on Newegg's site. They are most likely listings that were created based on the available Amiibo SKUs from Nintendo. It is doubtful they will actually be sold on that site.
 
For those in the USA banking on the New 3DS XL, Majoras Mask 3D and Monster Hunter 4U midnight launches to have the Amiibo available then too, check with stores as that is not the focus and they either may not be selling them or even have stock yet since they could be arriving on their afternoon trucks that day.

It's weird because usually they will sell anything that launches that day, so if they have the stock in they should have to give it to you. It's like when I lined up in the Xbox One midnight launch line here in Canada for A Link Between Worlds and Super Mario 3D World.

I read that last night but honestly I'll believe in when I see it. I really doubt it would be put into action anytime soon anyway. I guess if you want to wait possibly as long as 6 months to a year to get your hands on your favorite amiibo, you're in luck. Most people will have probably largely moved on by then though to other games.
 
I think I'll head to my local GameStop and hope the manager is there. He's really cool and a big Wii U gamer and loves amiibos. Hoping he can call me when stock arrives. He's done so before, how he does it again :/
 
Friend of mine preordered with ship to store and in the middle of the night got an email saying his Shulk was cancelled and PayPal payment didn't go through. ;-;

I don't think I will ever order anything from toysrus.com in the future. Including Amiibo's. Hopefully no more exclusives for them.

First, I have an e-mail stating that due to a cancelled Pit / Captain Falcon technical issue they were going to re-imburse me. January 6th, 2015.

"We are reaching out today to apologize for the recent cancellation of your amiibo item(s), order #xxxxxxx, which was the result of a technical issue that has since been corrected. Your cancelled amiibo item(s) have been reinstated, and you can expect to receive the order in 5-10 business days.

Please know that we value you as a customer and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. As such, we will be shipping your amiibo order to you at no charge. Your credit card will be temporarily charged, but within 3-5 business days you will receive a refund for the full amount of the item(s). I got charged on January 25th DEBIT PURCHASE for $23.52 which is the Pit / Falcon amiibo at $10.99 a piece + tax.

I call Toys R Us. They start reading me all the e-mails about the Pit / Falcon Amiibo. EXCEPT THE ONE I HAVE REGARDING THE REIMBURSEMENT. Oh, I'm sorry sir, I don't have that e-mail.

Next, I have a charge on February 4th for $35.28. Oh, I'm sorry sir, I don't know what that charge is related to.

So now, I'm out $58.80, and Toys R Us has no answers. The $23.52 isn't bad since I got the Amiibo's, but the fact they told me they were going to reimburse me is what pisses me off.

I'll be receiving a call from the credit department in 3 days. Hopefully they will resolve these issues. Otherwise, I'll be calling my bank definitely for the $35.28. The $23.52 I'm not sure what I can do about that.

By the way, this call took over an hour, and it took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to speak to a representative. They have a specific sequence about debit / credit charges but then don't connect you to a real representative. It was awful.

Terrible terrible.

Damn, that's terrible dude. Sorry to hear and good luck with getting your money back and hopefully something to compensate you for your time.

35.28 would be the exact cost for 3 amiibos.
 
My BB Sonic preorder had a date of 2/13 two days ago. Now I check the account and it says is has no information for release date.

That would be great if they could tell me which ones they were for. I have only received Lucario and Sheik for a charge of $30.33 which is the $13.99 price.

I have three charges.

1. Lucario and Sheik - $30.33 (Received figures. Everything cool w/ this charge)
2. Pit and Falcon - $25.32 - Have an email stating reimbursement but have not received it.
3. Unknown / No E-mails regarding - $35.28

I was wondering if anyone else got double charged by Toys R Us. I noticed it on my bank account like a week ago. So they charged me when I originally pre-ordered the Lucario amiibo and then they randomly charge me again a week after I received it? That doesn't make any sense! Maybe I should complain to them too? Did anyone else get double charged?
 
So according to Reddit, Sheik and Toon Link are showing up in Gamestop's Distros in Michigan so mayyybe everything will be in time

Are you sure one of them is not just a hold? If you received a charge when you preordered, it shouldn't have been an actual charge, only a preauthorization hold.

They charge when they ship and sometimes a bit after.

What I did for Shulk and the Wave 3 non-exclusives was immediately head down to EB Games. I had heard about it once I got home from work so I got dressed up again and went down there.

If going down to the store isn't an option, pray you can get in an order online or see if you can't preorder from overseas at the moment.

Preorders haven't went up in North America, no one knows what day they will or at what time so as of now no one knows. Also typically when preorders go up they sell out in 5-30 minutes so yea.... God Speed is all I can say.
 
I just got my Sonic amiibo rather unceremoniously dropped off at my door by Amazon. I had two day shipping through Prime, but I was still quite surprised as I didn't expect it until Monday. Are they doing Sunday deliveries these days?

Yup been doing Sunday deliveries in alotnof cities since prior to christmas.

If you're not able to get lucky and happen to be online when preorders go up, I really think the best way is to do Gamestop in-store. Not ship to store... actually go to the store and pre-order them by putting $5 down (or pay for the whole thing).

In the US, he's apparently only being sold if you pre-ordered him with no units for sale on the showfloor. Overseas pre-orders are sold out but he is releasing on the 20th like you said.

Expected but disappointing nonetheless. I guess I will have to keep checking import sites after the 20th to see if they get extras.
 
My Rosalina has a small smudge on her right boob. There appears to be some more in stock at a store not too far from me, but it's storming outside. I'm trying to work up the motivation to go or not.

Hmm, just read the post on reddit & it seems to be Central Michigan as well, which is my area.

Guess this is the week I'll call or go in & ask mostly each day. Still wish Sonic was grouped with everyone else.

Sooooooo yesterday finally I managed to get the second wave. I only opened Captain Falcon and Luigi for the Mario Kart 8 Mii suits. Now I have all the first and second wave with Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, Marth, Little Mac, Pit and Diddy Kong sealed in box.

Okay looks like I'm cutting class Friday to line up and try to get a Meta Knight Amiibo on the 20th....don't worry my teacher allows us 2 sick days :P
