Which Amiibo are considered rare at the moment?

my local GAME has Ike, Olimar, Dr. Mario, Jigglypuff, Sheik, Zelda, Robin, Ness, Bowser Jr., Samus, Yoshi and probably others that I'm forgetting.

They also had Palutena but I couldn't help myself, her amiibo is gorgeous. <3

My Toys R Us stock last wave was ridiculous. We camped out at Target then rushed over, so we were there about an hour and a half before opening and were about 10 and 11 in line. They had 12 robin and lucina, something like 60 wario, charizard, and threepacks, and 175 greninja. I stopped by there on Sunday and they still had Greninja on the shelf.

If it's anything like last wave, and assuming your target has an early opening, I would recommend doing just that, hitting Target first then getting to TRU ASAP. With 50 Dr. Mario you won't have to go there too early, but if your toys r us opens two hours later like mine does there may not be any left by the time you get there.

And of course this all depends on your area and the fervor of collectors there.

It's in Spanish but basically the guy who's twitter I followed ask the website Shovel knight appears on if it's legit. They said yes they received a list of amiibo from Nintendo and he was on there and the picture they found on the Internet.

So this is confirmation that a few indie characters are joining the Smash roster then? Because his pose heavily mirrors the ones you would find in the Smash Bros. Line of Amiibo.

Regardless, if this is real, that is really cool news :D! Love Shovel Knight and would love to have him stand next to my Sonic, Mega Man, Pac-Man and in the future, Ryu :).

The boxart/desgin of the amiibo isn't real. Made by the same guy who did the Rayman leak and is now doing a youtube series called "Smashified". They probably just googled it and picked the one that looked best as a placeholder.

Still, nice seeing that we are getting a Shovel Knight Amiibo :).

Well, the guy did say they only got the confirmation that
it was to be made/sold, no pictures, so they got it off the internet (i have seen this fan art before)

I don't have any local TRUs, so I would have to do it online only. Well, it's for a friend, so maybe I'll get lucky.

Has a part-time job now = income = I CAN AFFORD AMIIBO AGAIN!

........but I work 3rd shift, meaning it's hard to go to stores to line up for exclusives when they open considering right now I get home around go to sleep at 8 a.m.

Buuuttttt GS is already taken care of, Dr. Mario should be in good supply, & hopefully Bowser Jr. will be easy to order online.

Considering that a retail version of Shovel Knight was eventually announced after Yacht Club Games denied it, what if Nintendo announces Shovel Knight amiibos at the Nindies@Night?

I hope there's a decent amount of stock, Splatoon and Zelda the only series of amiibos that I want every character from those franchises in my collection.

I would say Fire Emblem also, but those are too damn expensive.

Finally put in my import order for Bowser Jr. Got him off Amazon for $19, which is really nothing considering the TRU price is 13.99 plus another dollar of tax almost. The nearest TRU is 90 minutes away from my house so that's not happening.

Still gonna go for the non-exclusive batch on release day and see what happens. I want Ganon, Olimar, ZSS and Retro Mario.

Don't care about Dr. Mario


edit: Yay at a potential Splatoon 3-pack restock. I still kick myself for not getting it.

Yoshi's Wooly World, Super Mario Maker, Chibi Robo: Do we know for a fact yet if *any* of these will get their limited editions with Amiibo in the US?

WHY is this information not immediately available? :(

Yoshi's Woolly World and Super Mario Maker will NOT get their amiibo bundles in the US, don't know why.

As for Chibi Robo, the amiibo bundle for that game is coming to the US, but it is the ONLY way to get said amiibo, there will be no standalone release of Chibi Robo amiibos.

I actually preordered the Yoshi bundle at TRU...a-at least I think I did. Lemme double check on my order.
EDIT: I-is that what we're talking about, the bundles? It was at one time available here although it looks like the product isn't available any more. I preordered it on 7/11 and it specifically says "Bundle" on the order page for me.

Yeah I got one too. There's still some time for it to be released so maybe later more will show up. As long as mine doesn't get cancelled. Same with my Animal Crossing bundle from Best Buy. Who knows what the heck is going on with those. Same with Chibi-Robo. Mario Party got a clean recent with its bundle why can't these?? Grrrrr....

Yeah some of us are still waiting to figure out if we are even getting a disc release for Fatal Frame coming out... some time in the next few months :/ (EU I grow ever jealous...) Amiibos are just another day for us :/

Pikachu got a second/updated print too , why can't the others

Peach first prints will be most rare in the end ;)

Samus is too, and neither look like they're getting a reprint anytime soon, if at all, especially Kirby.

But in reality, I haven't seen any signs of amiibo popularity slowing down. All you see in stores nowadays are commons, and that speaks volumes.

Yeah, I was surprised when I found out Samus was nowhere to be found in the US. My friend's store here in Peru has plenty of them still (and they're the NA version, of course) and I'm pretty sure he still has some Kirby amiibo so I'll make sure to get one this week just in case.
