Granted I only own about 6 Amiibos, and all but 2 were purchased on clearance prices (5 dollars - the other two were gifts). So I'm not the target market, but I do think they are cool collectibles.

I feel the same way, most aren't for me. But, every once in a while they're sweet. I don't like any of the ones that have a piece of plastic supporting the character, or that protrude past the base stand.

I collected all of the Smash amiibos when they came out, and that was fun I guess. Now they're basically plastic garbage.

The only "new" amiibos I bought were the Metroid Dread ones, and that's because I will always throw my money towards anything Metroid in the hopes that it means Nintendo will continue supporting that franchise.

They're neat little tributes to some of my favorite games and liven up elapsed time videos for 3d prints.

Not from Nintendo but love love some of the Ratchet & Clank characters and the Nine Soles cat.

I'd like a re-run of the large yarn-Yoshi plush Amiibo. I might go for some kind of neat retro 40th anniversary Mario amiibo as well. But in general I'm not interested in the plastic figurines.

My daughter asked for amiibo crap for Christmas. I think someone got her a Zelda one. I bought the set that came out for Metroid Dread. If there's something I'd like, maybe just something for the next Mario on Switch 2.

I always thought it would be cool if they would make Amiibos of classic NES/SNES games. As in, it was the retail box of an NES/SNES game and when you scanned it it would install the game to your Switch.

They kiiiinda did this with the Touch & Play feature for Wii U, but they were only demos.
