I'm guessing the point of MiB and Dtd48 is that the message of the advert is that the team is more important than historical figures, but the team is nothing outside of that specific niche within the sport let alone historical importance. It's a response to the deification of a sports team for Nike's own benefit.

Yup. Never mind that this ignores how the brain works. Reading a 15 minute summary of a nonfiction book will not internalize its concepts for you long-term. Reading the entire book will allow you to recall the summary and then connect the summary to useful details.
