Dang that looks good!

It doesn't look too bad, water reflections are nice. Captured on my GS3.

Is there something kind of like Tiny Tower? Doesn't have to be about a tower, just something sort of similar. My GF is pretty hooked on TT.

Ocean Tower is great.

What about some kind of game like metal gear acid, for the psp? Anyone know of anything similar? You'd think that type of game would be perfect for a touch screen.

*salivates*

It would be sooo awesome for a sequel to MGS AC!D on Android/iOS. Imagine using the battle mode over local wifi!!

Well it looks good on the phone... dosnt run that well on my devices though.

But tbh i have decided to stop buying 3D action games, i played them for 5 minutes... maybe if sony releases another xperia play some day.

Same, might try using my DS3 in GTAIII sometime though.

I worked (together with another person) on a game. We just uploaded a public demo-beta. Is it fine if I post about it here or would it be against the rules*?

*I re-read the forum regulation but I'm uncertain.

Thanks

Don't worry about it. As long as you're honest it's quite all right. Just don't say something like "OMG I just downloaded the best game ever, <insert link>"

We just published a free public beta of our upcoming game: TSUZP! - The Still Unnamed Zombie Project.

It has only a handful of levels, and is released mainly for compatibility testing purposes; but, of course, any advice will be taken into consideration.

You command four people, struggling to survive a sudden zombie outbreak. The game alternates between two phases until the level is completed: the first in which you build your defenses, the second where you actively fight the horde.

Edit: If you have an issue with the game please PM me, so we don't monopolize the topic. Thanks.

Nice, Downloading on my Galaxy S II.
Will only be able to play tomorrow, so will give feedback then =)

Plants Vs Zombies finally got an update to support ICS devices a couple of days ago. Was unplayable previously, now it works like a charm. Well worth picking up now.

Not sure if it was mentioned in this thread or not however Dream Heights is available. My wife loves it and it plays great on her DroidX2 and Tablet;

Anyone pick up the Gamestop Bluetooth controller yet? I've been meaning to try it out but it's a bit expensive if you don't buy it with a tablet and I'm not sure it's worth it when you can get a DS3 and sync it.

Very cool game! I've played about 6 maps so far on my Transformer Prime. If you'd like some feedback:

- it crashed once :-)
- the ads screw up the menus in places (I'd be very happy to pay a few bucks for an ad-free version)
- it's not clear what some of the pick-ups do (mostly the sprinkler though I just got some C4)
- there doesn't appear to be any penalty for losing a character during a map
- the interface for placing objects works well, though it wasn't clear to me that I had to tap to rotate (I tried dragging my finger)
- the game sound keeps playing when the game isn't on the screen (either locked or in another app)

I guess at this point I'd like some higher difficulty too as I get through each map on the first try.

I'm glad you enjoy it.

- did you send the crash report? If not, I'd like to know some details; tell me if you have time and I'll ask you by PM.
- being still a beta, we don't charge anything (you also almost reached the end if you already played 6 maps). For the full version (which will have of course many more maps, and no more crashes) we're still considering our options, but hopefully we'll have an ad-free version.
- we already received a lot of feedback about improving the tutorial and the game help, we're looking into it.
- a "revived" character is healed just a portions of his hit-points; though when you change the map, the character is fully healed. The game also tracks how many times the characters get knocked out. We could think about something more meaningful.
- see the second point; the tutorial explains it but probably not well enough.
- do you have android ics (4.0)? If not, what version do you have?

What difficulty are you playing at? The Hard difficulty should be fairly challenging.

Is there any great looking games on Android that are also actually good as a game?

I'd like to have some good looking games for my new phone, but just browsing the play store, all the great lookers just seem to have uninteresting or just terrible looking gameplay(gameloft games)...

Cave was supposed to be porting over ESPGALUDA II and Dodonpachi Resurrection to the Android platform. I know they are out for the Japanese Android market... but so far they are missing in the US market.

:(

Sounds cool, i yet have to try it more, but i have noticed a problem with the UI on the "faq" section:

Text and Pics dont align correctly.

Whoops. I didn't realise it'd not sent the report until I checked just now :-)

I have 4.0.3.

Erk. Somehow I completely missed the difficulty settings choice. Odd. Will try on Hard now :-)

i've been enjoying Rebuild lately. Cool, cheap, turn based strategy. You have to reclaim your town from zombies. Simple but fun :)

Rebuild is very cool. Gets a bit easy once you get the machine-gun towers.

Duders: are any of you using Cowon's android-enabled devices? I'm thinking of picking up the new Z2.

Also, I'm completely new to Android in general. You guys keep mentioning versions such as 4.0.3 and whatnot. Is this limited by the hardware, or can the versions be updated like iOS software?

Grazie!

You probably want the other thread. 4.0.3 (4.0.x is Ice Cream Sandwich) is the most recent release (well, 4.0.4 is but only on Nexus S phones AFAIK) and its availability is usually limited by carriers first, then manufacturers and finally by hardware.

This sale must be nearly over but:
Dead Space – 29% OFF http://goo.gl/A3cEr
Plants vs. Zombies – 33% OFF http://goo.gl/4WkLN
FIFA 12 by EA SPORTS – 40% OFF http://goo.gl/QGJGI
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit – 20% OFF http://goo.gl/sTCN6

Is there a good site to watch for Android sales?

edit: none of these are compatible with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7", wth.
edit2: if the store says you're incompatible, try these links, works for me:

Monsters Ate My Condo is pretty fun. And as someone who doesn't own an iOS device I don't mind paying a $1 for it, definitely worth it.

I was also interested in buying a control pad. Does it fit the holder?

I don't have it yet, sorry I should have said. Hopefully it will be here soon.

I know the Galaxy Note won't fit in the holder, but my case has an inbuilt stand so I'm not fussed. The Galaxy S2 apparently fits though.

I mainly bought it for PC gaming (and emulation via the PC), but thought I would use it on my phone too for games that support it.

Although I have an HDMI cable for the phone too, so it might end up being used on the phone a lot...

There's Delver and Cyberlords Arcology for action, both are fairly simple but fun. I don't know about any other action RPG alternatives that aren't the KRPGs (I avoid those because of their terrible framerates and controls).
