Android Gaming Thread New OP

I wouldn't call it terrible but the charge beam you get is completely OP, many stages can be won by one attack with that thing.

For people who don't know the game, it's pretty much based on Warning Forever.

Stopped playing both of their games. The initial loading time for both is horrendous. I spent more time on the loading screen than on the actual game.

It's not even the loading times. They're fine when the app is resuming and internet connection is good enough. But the game really starts to stutter and lagging around after a while. It's really just worth 3/5 at max. I'll probably give it a 2/5, though.

Started playing Puzzle Forge, and its fantastic. Like triple town in a way, but with a slight diner dash influence.

I've been playing a lot of Plague Inc. lately. It was worth the .99 to buy the full version too. Very addicting. The unlocks are slow and painful though. Basically I've only found I get them by beating the game and that can get difficult. I'm struggling through the fungus type right now.

Is there any reason to hope that Walking Dead or Bastion might see release on Android?

It seems that it's certainly picking up pace as a legit gaming platform, as evidenced by most big games eventually reaching Android.

How much gameplay time are you guys getting out of Jungle Run. I definitely put like 8-10 into that stupid Dungeon Village game

Maybe 5-6 hours to 100% it? At least for me. The only difficult levels are the ones without any Lums, the last one on each stage. Still a fantastic game.

Whoa that's pretty expensive for an app.

I've been playing Jungle Run. I suck at it but god damn it's so much fun and hands down the best looking Android game I've seen.

It's still cheaper than FF3....

That type of pricing must really work for them if they keep doing it. Either that or they're very stubborn.

Jungle Run is one of my favorite games to date on the platform. They did something interesting with infinite running games and didn't try to emulate a different experience with on screen controls. The latter is a lesson that developers need to learn. Sure, they could have tried to make a Rayman Origins type of game on the device, but it wouldn't have worked nearly as well. They made a game with what they had instead of trying to emulate something they didn't.

Chaos Rings finally released in West on Android
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.square_enix.chaosrings.googleplay

Don't miss it, it's actually decent. Now to wait for Chaos Rings 2

Reviews are saying it force closes on startup on a bunch of devices (S3, S2, and the GalNex), so I would probably hold off for a patch. If there's a patch. I strongly regret buying FFI for Android since they haven't fixed the resolution/slowdown problems and at this point I think they're not ever going to. So who knows if they're going to patch Chaos Rings?

Apparently FFIII on Android is actually a good port, but I dunno. After getting burned by FFI, I'm really hesitant to buy any Squenix games on Android now, especially since they always charge a premium.

Whoooop, posted in wrong thread, bit since I am here now does anybody now of a game similar in style to Kingdom Rush, I am adicted to it in my iPad but no tower defense in android I've tried has the same feeling =(

Beastie Bay..
Im waiting for the day i get tired of kairosoft.

Pretty much this. Replay value is also rather low. For 2.39€ still fine though.

3 positives and 3 negatives from me:
+ great graphics
+ fun levels
+ different gameplay elements

- some bugs, especially in the last stage
- collision detection / visual clarity
- mapping to actions to virtual buttons is just a bit troublesome ... the well-known problems of touch controls

anyone have a recommendation on a good poker game app? Ones where playing with other players worldwide wouldn't work too well, since I'll most likely be playing on the commute to and from work, and I'm kind of embarrassed about playing the Alexis Texas Strip hold'em game I found

Considering getting a Note II later this year. Looks like it's going to be the perfect in-betweener for me. My wife has an S2 Skyrocket and I have an N7 (and a BB Bold I can't wait to get rid of). I love both Androids, but I sure would like to consolidate everything into one device.
