So MS actually sold the Xbox one to many but not enough to please sharedholders. Gamers won regardless because this didnt become the standard like it could of been.

I like his videos, but the more I watch I can't stop thinking with all this complaining he's still going to go pick up an XBONE day 1.

Seriously, tons of people (not necessarily you) are confusing console preferences with console fanboyism in this thread. The 360 was by far my prefered console this generation, does that make me a blind fanboy? Of course not. That's stupid.

The DRM was thrown out after a lot of kicking and screaming from fans, after Major Nelson publicly insults you on your knowledge base. I would have some personal integrity and not reward them. You're not fan boy just a man with personal preferences, I wouldn't go back to a shop after the owner slaps me for asking questions. Maybe you prefer the XBONE, People shouldn't be so quick to forgive and forget just went down, and is still going on. I could care less about DRM for myself, but I know it matters to a lot of other people. Personally I'm still more angry on how they justify a higher price and mandatory Kinect.

I'm a Sony guy FWIW, I don't particularly like the 360, not many games entice me (at all!)
I don't care if Joe is pro or anti Sony or MS, I care that his points are bang on. Gamers were going to get fucked by shit policies and now whiny gamers who as he said, suckle at the teet of Microsoft are trying to lay blame on everyone else about losing sharing. The facts he laid out are simple, you can still do the sharing in a modified form so that digital and disc based gamers win but people just want to have fights about it instead.

I don't always agree with Joe but I'm glad there's someone out there not part of the "enthusiast press" who is asking hard questions that these so-called journalists can't. Keep it up.

i like that Joe tries. it also irritates me when they talk down to him when they're being defensive about the questions he asks. you wouldn't see that happen with journos from bigger sites.

I just wish Sony would bring back Kevin Butler. I know it's all an actor, but I find it funny. =\

Now that the DRM is out, what would be the problem if he did? Now it's all down to games, value (as well as perceived value), and personal preference.

How long ago DID he start? I think it was mid way through the generation at least, and probably didn't expect to catch on like he did, so I could him considering it not worth bothering with a PS3 at this point, and Wii U definitely needs to build up a library. I think it'd be worth investing in IF he has the spare cash just for wider exposure (I'm guessing at least for an extra console he does at this point), especially with how good the DS4's supposed to be.

Though I'm coming from a view point that it's great to keep all options accessible, whereas he may never have felt that was very significant (and with this generation I can't blame anyone feeling that way.)

He's not a professional journalist, and he can play and review just 360 and PC games if he wants. Maybe he doesn't want to spend his money on other stuff, perhaps he's satisfied with what he's got, doesn't have time to review other games, tired of Nintendo IPs, doesn't like the controllers, whatever. Why care?

Why are people so stuck on this question? He's not a journalist, he's just a gamer who reviews the games he has on the systems he owns. He doesn't have to review games on other systems, and why should he? If he doesn't like Nintendo games or has no interest in the PlayStation, why are you holding him accountable for it?

Once again, Angry Joe is not a journalist. He is not being backed up by any media company. He is just a gamer who puts up his reviews on YouTube. He has become somewhat famous recently for being unafraid to ask hard questions of people at E3. It's not his fault if you're hearing of him for the first time, visiting his site and assuming he's going to have games reviewed for your favourite system.

Linux was being bypassed for uses of piracy.

PS2 BC was removed to lower costs, and costs were lowered.

Microsoft hasn't lowered any costs and the family play was a glorified version of the PS+ trials.

MS isn't comparable to anything right now. This has been a circus of epic proportions.
 
Thank you guys for getting me onto Angry Joe, I love his vids! The way he yells, swears, his mannerisms etc... they crack me up. He also talks a lot of sense, kinda like an Angry version of Adam Sessler.

Imo he has the best 'angry' vids in the gaming community.

BTW, AngryJoe isn't that big of a youtuber compared to the big fish. He rarely gets any review copies and such. He even said some of them stopped because he gave the game bad scores.

Personal integrity? Forgiveness? Microsoft isn't my friend. I couldn't give two shits about them. I love games, period. They removed the shit that stopped me from buying an Xbone. Great, now I'll buy it.

If they decide to implement anything like this shit again, I'll drop em right then and there. It's a business relationship. They give me good games and games that I can use and sell freely, they get my money. They try to screw me again, that relationship is severed immediately as far as I'm concerned.
