Yeah I wonder if this started as a sequel but then they moved onto Switch so rather than scrapping that work, they just decided to release it as a free update.

You can restart your town and get bells to carry over for how well you did on your old town is pretty big
Happy home designer style furniture movement is in, and tom nook will buy your town and let yo upstart over with a ton of money if you want. There were probably some other things but I was only half paying attention lol

I'm afraid to look and see how big this update is. My poor 3DS probably doesn't have the room for it.
Bunch of new features implemented that don't require Amiibo at all, so yeah the update matters.

Definitely! There are some big QOL improvements and new mini games you can play by collecting in-game Wii U or 3DS hardware.
Am I wrong or did they change the way you place and re-arrange furniture? It's like in Happy Home Designer now using the touch screen right?
And if you want to start your town from scratch you don't have to start a new game and start from 0, you can sell your previous town for a ton of bells and begin your new town with a fat stack of cash.

Sorely tempted to start over with that "nest egg" now. What a good feature. Is there any way to save the old town in case I change my mind later?
Japanese only 3DS game I believe. May or may not get localized. If it incorporates Mittomo in some way I bet they will end up bringing it West to try to get more out of that game.
