Finished watching the last episode of Dandadan Season 2. Love this season but they censored Vamola outfit and changed her hair from blonde to green

I have an issue with manga. I never seem to find time for it and when I do I read slow af.

Just now finished Claymore and it took me like 6 months. Phenomenal manga, no regrets.

Also, in most manga I could barely understand the fight scenes.

I went to buy some mangas, and ended up with GTO, Hunter X Hunter, Detective Conan and Full Metal Alchemist. Like it shows how old I am

Tonight I find out this is happening.

I never read the light novel, or whatever it was, but always thought it would be cool if they adapted it. Especially back when the Gintama anime was on hiatus. Cool to see it happening.

I can't wait for this, gintama is the funniest anime I've watched.

Starting S4 of Demon Slayer and enjoying it.

I was abit miffed at the shorter 2-3 seasons, but watching them, I think the quality is better than S1.

Overall I liked S2 the best, but the best fight scene/s was the fairly epic climax in S3, getting giddy watching it.

I read that Dandadan season 3 will not be until 2027 because Science Saru is busy with other stuff. I'm ok with that. I'd rather they maintain the very high quality.

S4 of Demon Slayer was abit over the place, mainly the start felt was sluggish with fairly meh demons, but that ending slaps, makes me want to run out to the cinema right now to see it.

Well, new season just started. Just finished watching ep 0 & 1 of Towa no Yuugure (Dusk Beyond the End of the World). So far it's pretty interesting. It's been a while since I've watched action anime from P.A. Works. The only downside is that it looks like it's pushing LG stuff

gotten bored of Kaijo No 8, i dunno. i was interested, then i just totally lost track and don't feel like picking it back up

Years ago I watched Monster, alongside Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist (Brotherhood)these were my introductions to anime. I've begun my rewatch of Monster last week and man, it's still so damn good!

I wish they'd make a anime of 20th Century Boys too, same creator.

Well, you can try the other anime: Pluto, Master Keaton, Monster

I've heard Pluto is good, but I'm too scared to watch it because it's a sequel to Astroboy. And I've never consumed anything from Astroboy.

Those two I've never watched before , Pluto and Master Keaton. Those are similar to Monster? Let's fucking go!!!! I've watched a huge amount of anime, but those are new for me.
Pluto is based on Astro Boy, but I think the connection is very loose. Master Keaton is about an ex-special forces who now works as an insurance investigator.

Started watching This Monster Wants To Eat Me, about a girl who lost her family and is borderline suicidal. One day a yokai tries to kill her and she feels that this is her chance to see her family again so doesn't fight back, but a mermaid kills the yokai and saves her. It tells her that it's going to eat her, but not yet, and that it'll keep her safe until the time is right. The next day it shows up as the new student in her class.

It looks like it could be good but it's a weekly thing so I'll have to wait and see.

I read my first ever manga a few weeks ago with Sand Land. I've been wanting to play the game and the manga was short enough to commit to. It was alright overall, nothing mind blowing. Good character work. I wanna play the game now.

I tackled the Dandadan manga next on Shonen Jump, because I liked the few episodes I've seen on Netflix. I read all 213 chapters in like a week! I got hooked lol

I think I enjoyed it because it reminds me of the Persona games. Plus it's October, so I was in the mood for paranormal stuff.

Is there anything else I should try next? I'm considering Dragonball, but I'm open to suggestions.

Dragon Ball is great, I read it last year.

I really like Yotsuba!, it's a manga about a single father and his 5 year old daughter. There aren't any fights, but It's funny and well drawn.

Demon Slayer Infinity Castle was great. Very cool action and backstory parts as well.

Two more movies left since they won't make episodes anymore. I do wonder what kind of different locations they will have in these movies because otherwise I can see it getting old, but we'll see.

Only freaking depressing thing is that the next movie isn't expected until 2027 and the last one 2029. Christ.

Also, i can't be the only one that thought the Hashira Training arc was very, very underwhelming, more like boring? With the exception of the last episode.

Before the Demon Slayer movie started in the cinema theater yesterday there were trailers of upcoming anime movies. One looked very interesting, a 4K version of a 80s movie called Angel's Egg, looked very dark and mysterious and I will be seeing this.

Also a movie of Chainsaw Man and that was the "trigger" for me to give this anime a chance. I'm five episodes into it and really enjoying it. A nice cool twist I guess on the whole demon/devil killing "genre". Also a trailer of a Lupin movie, but I'm not sure how many episodes I need to watch before I can see that.

I started reading Sakamoto Days and it's really good lol. Reminds me of a fat modern day Japanese Steven Segal.

I also started Chainsaw Man, but it was a bit too serious for me at the moment.

Apothecary Diaries news (from ANN):

Season 3 date is confirmed...! For... October 2026 :( For the first cour. Second cour for April 2027. Longer wait this time and split cour, unlike past seasons.

Silver lining is that in December 2026 we're also getting a movie with an original story penned by the novel's author.

Katsura's latest work that I remember is his character design for Tiger & Bunny (he also made the manga adaptation) and Astral Chain.

yeah, I knew about those. I'm more talking about serial manga work. especially Hagiwara. I know he had done some art work stuff here and there, but it's been 14 years (I went and checked) since the last Bastard!! chapter. I know it's supposed to be "ended" but come on! that ending is just BS and I wish Hagiwara can get back on it to give us an ending that the manga deserves.

Sounds cool. While I was unimpressed with Dandadan, it was by no fault of the studio. I thought Science Saru did a bang-up job adapting what material they had. This season's Sanda has been good, and I like the art style the team is going with for this Ghost in the Shell work: It's so '90s (in a complimentary way).

It's certainly a style calling for a different approach too though. There's a greater focus on design fidelity than on stretching of models imo as in Dandadan and Sanda. We'll see what they can do.

I just have no idea about Ghost in the Shell lore other than the movie.

Is it all just like Black Mirror-like cases with cyberpunk tech and stuff?

damn, chainsaw man movie was sick.
as a movie, I might like it better than the Demon Slayer one. Like Demon Slayer was good too, but it was like watching 6-7 anime episodes in a row, nothing wrong with it, but its not really like watching a movie. Think Chainsaw man beats Demon Slayer in the sound design definitely though.

man, still hurt so bad seeing Reze's final scene... T_T The arc when I read in the manga was probably my first "aww shit..." moment in the series

Yeah Chainsaw Man was awesome. Incredible animation and amazing 3D. I've never seen a 3D animation before but it looked insane.

I think the Reze arc itself is kinda boring (especially if you know what's coming) but the visual fidelity of the whole thing was unbelievable.

Also a dude next to me was taking pics of Reze in the pool, so that was neat.

Reze was so hot. Is this the first anime boobs on the big screen we had?
It's really been forever since the actual chainsaw anime hasn't it. Honestly just go movie route from now on if it's going to be every 2-3 years at this quality.

Meanwhile OPM s3…
