I'm always up for Digimon. Looking forward to that next movie.

I'm watching Darwin's Game, and I like it less now because they gave more screentime to the girl with a monotonous voice. I'm getting Meteora from Re:Creators vibes here, and I dropped that show.

Holy shit that Ni No Kuni movie (that's on Netflix now) was bad. That has to be one of the worst written movies I've ever seen regardless of genre, and visually it's like a bargain bin Ghibli imitation.
The fuck are you doing Level 5? You had a nice little franchise there and have completely botched it with a disappointing sequel and this shit show.

Did anyone else watch it? It was so bad I sort of want to talk about it lol

Why is smut horror not considered "weeb shit"? Or anything edgy for that matter? I don't think anything is "weeb shit" outside stuff like 7 Sins. Even then I would just consider it "shit" made to sell figures if anything.

Weeb is an obnoxious person that is obsessed with Japanese media and sees no faults in said media. A term people like to sling inaccurately on gayming forums. Weeb shit is the shit normal people can't or won't watch without being embarrassed. Clannaids, K-on, hidamari sketchu, Boku no koku aku majou bokuchi harem high school desu, etc.

TBH I don't even consider myself a weeb. Sure I like manga some anime and some of their music but I don't think they (Japan) are the best at everything. I dress normally, don't have any naruto headband things and only have one rapevan! (that was a joke) The broad term normalfriends use and what you call weeb shit is far from it normalfriend. Media is far too bland to only focus on srs stuff which is why we have people that used to pick on the people that read comic books nerds and now cry over spooderman dying or cheer for serial killers. Or...OR watch MHA after they talked down to DB fans in high school. You know back when DB was decent? Yeah!

you can start watch Momoru Hosoda's work....there tons of gems there like Summer wars, Wolf Children, The boy and the Beast...he definitely one of the best in industry and a movie stamped with his name is must watch...you can watch his latest work last year that also had time travel element, Mirai

I'm actually enjoying the Murenase Seton adaption. The initial promotional poster had me really worried with the artstyle they were going to use. I've been laughing every episode and look forward to it each week. The show adapting chapters out of order kind of threw me for a loop. I love the naked mole rat TV crew, especially the one in jeans, t-shirt, and the backwards baseball cap.

I just blew my birthday money on Lupin III stuff. Got the Bye Bye Lady Liberty Blu Ray and the first two dvd sets of part II. I also finally grabbed the SFII animated movie.

Edit: this is the calm before the storm. This year we're getting Oregairu S3, Kingdom S3, AoT S4, and Dragon Quest no Daibouken reboot to mention a few. I'm sure I'm missing something else

Couldn't care less atm about any live action One Piece. The imagination is sacrificed at that point and I know it will disappoint heavily, most likely

I finished the Zou arc in One Piece not too long ago, there was an extremely epic moment that took place in Zou, and this song played while it took place. Beautifully and perfectly utilized during the anime, it was perfect

Can you please rate, in your opinion, the entirety of the Whole Cake Island arc? How is it, if you had to rate out of 10?

And describe it, in one word, without spoiling anything? How did you feel about it, if you can attribute one word to it? I'm going to watch it over the next few months or so

I only read the manga so I couldn't speak about the animation or pacing in the anime. But Cake Island was a solid 8 for me, definitely one of the better recent arcs.
It got me back to actually looking forward to each new chapter every week so I guess "exciting" would be the word

Right on, that's a solid score. I can't even wait for Wano arc to finish, because I want to wait for that to conclude before watching it, and I know I'm going to run through Whole Cake Island arc despite being like 90 or so episodes. Wano arc, just wow.......I can't believe how hype it's going to get. And that is just from what they set up for us to know in Zou! It's going to be legendary, I'm sure
