He’s talking about stuff like how it took Goku over three episodes to get off Namek. Or an entire episode to turn SSJ3. Naruto et al have so much anime only filler because they went out of their way to avoid that even if it still ended up being trash.

I've been going on this Dragon Ball binge lately, I don't know what really triggered it. Been playing a lot of Xenoverse 2 on my Switch, and some of Fighterz in between. I just finished watching Dragon Ball Z again...it's kinda silly to rewatch an anime when I have so many I haven't watched yet, but I wanted to get refreshed since I was thinking about finally starting up Dragon Ball Super. Subbed to Funimation to give it a go. I remember not disliking the Buu Saga when I first watched, but yeah, it really does drag out way too long at times. I still loved the Cell Games, it just had the most satisfying fights of the series I think.
Oh, and as if I needed another reason to love my favorite J-pop group Perfume, I found this gif recently that just adds yet another reason for me to love them, hehe.

What I find kinda sad about this is that I think the first one is the most attractive of the bunch. I like boobs as much as the next guy, but they are just so comically huge. Also, holy shit, 900 episodes?! I kinda wanted to watch this series at some point, and I knew it was long, but holy shit that makes DBZ look like it has a short run.

Boobs are fine (3rd one) but Oda artstyle or anatomy is just "wacky". Beautiful tan gone, boobs doubled in size, waist narrowed to nothing, and she no long has that sexy female Indiana Jones look to her. She looked like an Eastern European supermodel before, and now she just looks like a titmonster. And she got more flanderized and relegated to exposition, unfortunately.
I'm past the timeskip now, but I can honestly say I hate her and Nami's redesigns. Also Zoro's to an extent as well - his facial structure changed and he looks off from before.

That chart reminded me specifically, I think Tashigi and Smoker still look pretty great (from where I am in Punk Hazard now). Law looks about the same, but I figured the new characters from around Saobody would not change much. Rayleigh and the GILF were identical too, as were the Amazons.

Would this be a good place to ask about any good western cartoons from the last few years? I try to keep tabs every now and then on what the various members from the original Avatar team are up to, but it doesn't look like they'll do anything of the same caliber in the near future. Maybe after the live action Netflix remake which will probably take forever. And that's still a big maybe.

what i trying to said is, moment to moment animation execution itself...for example if you watch boku hero no academia, the scene where deku want to punch villain, he immediately punch in mere sec..we can fell the energy rush there...that kind particular, slick of execution while one piece on otherhand, for example scene where zoro fight pica ..in manga he just quickly cut the stones in blink an eye..but in anime, that particular action took more than seconds to execute....its like over bloated ..not to mention sometimes they even add unecessary scene between the frame like other character expression which is not presented in manga..this issue still presented despite upgraded pretty visual in wano arc
imagine in dragon ball, son goku punch giren but if it being done with these one piece style, that particular punch moment could take quite a time, slow, dragging the scene...they probably think it add impact and more context..but nope...it suck

I'm biased more toward the fights than the story. There are some twists to it. As mentioned in the title, it's a story where the protagonist climbs a tower and gets progressively stronger. As such, expect certain characters who can no longer keep up to get left behind. The story still keeps my interest, at the very least.

For the life of me I don' t get how people still defend that trash of an arc and praise kubo still. Some bleach fanboys are delusional.
My only hope is that the anime will be significantly rewritten and filled with good filler to make it better, but I don't have high hopes.
Kubo apparently will also put out the Burn the Witch mini series out in the summer and from what I have heard he already fully finished it. And it will also be animated.
