Columbia University hosted known Anti-Semite Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He was invited by the University itself, not even a student group. The President of the University at the time also cited Free Speech.

So this is not new.

Universities have invited many known unsavory characters to speak on their campuses.

I'm from Berkeley and I'm against her speaking here because it's honestly just going to result in property damage and people getting hurt. Nobody is going to convince the other side of anything; anybody coming would be there for the spectacle. The school has a responsibility to its students to prevent this from happening.
