i wish they would put chrome "XBOX" text... big letters into each side (top bottom) extending from left to right..

or something...

that's my only fear at this point... the sides (or top/bottom whatever way you want to look at it) looking a little plain.

Other than that it's a killer design.

Yeah, we pretty much came to the conclusion it was real a few pages ago. After the third image leaked it was over ;P

I'm sayin', plastering a GIANT CHROME XBOX logo on the sides is a BAD idea. That'd make the nice, clean... smooth flowing industrial design look like a fugly abomination of American-dick waving. Microsoft does not need that again for japan market, and it certainly doesn't need it if it wants the system to look at all appealing

I would think that the controller interface has been redesigned as well. But if BC is in (pleasegodpleasegodpleasegod) then I would imagine the new controllers would work just fine.

2) it's final (u can't tweak something once you have placed orders for the shell to undergo mass production).

3) That power button is a fruity graphical effect that kinda spirals on and off in varying shades of certain colors.

4) The hdd is shipped w/ all units. The difference seen in the 2 pics is simply indicating that one has the cover plate on while the other does not.

5) The eject button seen in the 2 pics is THE SAME. It can be turned to accommodate vertical vs. horizontal positions, much like the ps logo could on the ps2.

thats no observation. The first pic is obviously a concept type design/render, while the 2nd looks like a photo of the ACTUAL hardware, so it would make sense that some of the buttons, colors, and fonts would be place holders in the 1st pic (look at the font fof the memory card slot) What sense would it make to change those things in a 'less expensive/HD less' version?

Actually other way around. If real the second pic is of an older mockup of the console. The 3rd is obviously closer to release as is proven with the much curvier pics released by ourcolony.net.

The rumor was earlier this week that webTV was built into the drive.

Having an LED on the face for music organization would make it a potentially killer combo. Since 100% of 360 games support custom soundtracks, I imagine the hook is, "Put all of your music on this drive. Then you can listen to all of it seamlessly in your games as well." Seems like a unique way to get people to move their media from the I-Pod.
