ATI MMC doesn't really cut it clearity wise even if it does a great job on deinterlace. I was messing around with DScaler a bit but it doesn't really support it so I had quite a few issues before my computer crashed. I was able to get video when it was on unknown source. However, when I switched it to the ATI source itself, I only had sound. I'm currently using virtualdub, but the deinterlacing is rather insufficent. The video clarity is really clear compared to the other 2 though.

I use VirtualDub. It's freeware, and it's been a much better program for me than a few others I've bought.

I have a USB TV Wonder. I use Intervideo WinDVR. I have a 5.1 surround sound system hooked up to my laptop and the native software that ATI uses won't pick up my PCMCIA Audigy 2 ZS so this was basically the only recourse. Thankfully, it works perfectly for me.
