The last really good Peppers album was One Hot Minute, Californication was allright, By The Way I really didn't like at all.

I will still buy it, let's see what they come up with. But for me it they have lost their edge, maybe they can convince me otherwise.

no, nobody is anticipating it. What do you mean there's a new album?

and everyone says that "it's the best thing we've ever done." They're not too bloody likely to go and say, "we peaked with Blood Sugar Sex Magik, sorry."

EDIT: is there a reason that amazon wants $45 for the limited edition set? I'm not so hard up to want to see the video that I'll fork that kind of money over. The track-by-track interviews sounds like a nice idea, but is it really worth the extra twenty or so dollars?

I loved By The Way also, and was actually amazed to find out how much people think BSSM was their best album, as opposed to say Californication. GAF loves the funk, apparently.

I still have yet to hear the new single, though.

The single is great, but not as catchy as their previous singles. And the video was good as well

I'm a casual fan of the RHCP, but if the album is good I would'nt mind looking into it and giving it a spin on my CD player.
