I don't know if the soundtrack CD comes with USA/JAP versions (Suppose) but I've got it from EUR and it rocks my little tiny world, damn hawt! NIS really knows how to put it all together. The only downside is the repeating battle tracks in random dungeons (grr, constantly the same track, quite boring) and the -annoying as hell- track in Phantom Isle! This is my favorite:

The Limited Edition version of the game comes with the soundtrack, and you can get that brand-new for less than $20 easily.

The soundtrack is overlooked; he's definately good. Kinda Mitsuda-y with the folk sounds.

Recently saw a Disgaea gameclip, the music is good too (but I think PB is better). Is there any soundtrack thing in there too? Or I'll have to cap it with my TVcard (but first finishing PB and then buying Disgaea)

PB was the only that I know of that came with the soundtrack. You can always buy the soundtrack from some import place.

I enjoy Tenpei Sato. He's not up there with the greats, but he has a nice distinct sound that's nice on the ears.

That being said I actually enjoyed the Phantom Kingdom/Makai Kingdom soundtrack that best out of all N1's SRPGs and that wasn't even done by Tenpai but rather a compilation of various composers
