Anyone here live near Glacier National Park or Zion?

how long is "a few days" and how much time you plan to spend on these 2 parks? I know Utah have a few other national parks that are simply wonderful and well worth the trip, but they would require you to do some additional driving. and of course, going up north you'll be right nearby Yellowstone, which is a whole other park that requires a few days too. I take it you're flying into Vegas and then drive up? or are you going to fly to SLC?

I have been to Yellowstone, my Glacier trip would probably be three days and just at Glacier. Zion would probably be two days and I would fly into Vegas.

going from Vegas to Zion would take you around 4~5 hours driving. if you still have extra time left after the 2 days in Zion, can maybe consider Bryce Canyon National Park also. it's a little to the north east of Zion and offers some beautiful views, along with great trails walking down and back up the canyon. it IS a little out of the way thou so keep that in mind. going up north maybe stop by at Idaho Falls? the city is rather nice and good place to stop and eat. that's about all I can think of at the moment thou. maybe also grab a bite at SLC I guess.

I did a similar trip with my brother, but we flew into Salt Lake City instead. We were going on a big loop north, west to the tip of WA, south along the coast, and east through Death Valley, Vegas, and then back up through the Grand Canyon to SLC again. It was the best few weeks of my life.

Last year I drove up to Yellowstone from Arkansas, over to Oregon, up to Seattle and drove down the old Pacific coast highway into California, then hit Sequoia and Yosemite then to Vegas/Grand Canyon and home. It was amazing but so jammed packed there was many places I didn't get to see

I booked the trip, flying into Vegas August 11 and leaving the 15. I have a camp site in Zion the 13 and 14, can’t wait! I rented a car on Turo for 130, great deal
