Most curious about the screen case. Won't be getting the iPad 2 but since I don't care about the back of the iPad, could be a purchase in the future years.
 
Yay, new thread!

Impressions from an OG iPad owner:
-VERY thin and the build feels really good / high quality
-Easily to hold, makes the original design seem clunky
-iOS is very snappy, feels of 60fps vs. 30fps
-Smart Cover magnets are strong and snap on easily. I got gray pleather, and it's nicer than it looks online
 
right on giga! we need some iPad 2 impressions for infinity blade and real racing hd 2, stat!
 
I have the original iPad and I felt the new one in Best Buy. It is really light. It feels a lot better in your hands. I thought it was cool. I'm not upgrading but if you don't have an iPad yet, it's a really cool device.
 
Got my black 64 gig on the way, which will be my first iPad. Ordered last night when it was still 3-5 business days to ship, thankfully. Can't wait!
 
Picking mine up in an hour. Can't wait. :D Although they didn't get any leather smart cases shipped in today which is a little annoying. Oh well. :P

I still want to get one for my brother who's birthday is on Monday.
 
Going to be an odd combo when I get one next month. Android phone and iPad 2 tablet. Will be glad to resurrect my Apple account from when my iPod touch died a year ago though.

It will be nice to have the best of both worlds.

It's not metal on metal. Theres a plastic seam on the inside of the entire bracket.

tablets suck...way overpriced. that said, even though I'm not an apple fan, the ipad 2 is the best deal out there (well except a nook color, but that has more compromises).

I'd be hard pressed not to get one if I were getting a dedicated tablet right now.
 
iFixit lists 512mb of RAM in the tech specs when you first click the link but I haven't seen them post a picture yet of the RAM .. is it still not 100% confirmed yet?
 
I'm guessing that they'll announce the iPad 3 end of this year with the same specs but with a retina display. Production issues blahblahblah.

I'll wait a few years, don't need it right now, but damn god if it isn't sexy.

Short version: He asked how many they had and how many people were in line and if it was worth driving down there or if he should order online instead. The responded something like "If you were a real Apple fan you'd risk it".

I'm not a huge Jaffe fan but that was pretty funny.

Reviewers have confirmed it's 512 through Geekbench.

Totally get why he's pissed but instead of Fuck Apple CS, he should be mad at the CS agent or the store manager.
 
WTF, there's an iPad 2? I just bought the original last week! This is BULLSHIT.
